Dairy cow reproduction has several critical checkpoints where interactions with the immune system are necessary and dysregulation of the immune response can lead to reproductive failure.

Under the theme "One Scope, Higher Score" ,RAA Pharma recently held a group meeting at Hilton Alexandria King's Ranch in 19th. Oct. 2025 to share up-to-date challenges and solutions for achieving better immunity and fertility.

📍Prof. Dr. Ragab Abd El-Moneem, Professor of Theriogenology (Animal Reproduction) at the Animal Reproduction Research Institute (ARRI) – Giza, Egypt, and Dairy & Fattening Farm Consultant, delivered a fruitful session on “Reproductive Management of Dairy Cattle.”

📍Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdelaal, Professor of Animal Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University, discussed the challenges facing dairy farms and the recent solutions for each under the topic “Respiratory Challenges: Disease & Control.”

📍Dr. Michael Refaat, RAA Vaccine Technical Service Lead (VTS), presented our core solutions — Vaccines and Hormones — with high efficacy and proven protection, manufactured by long-standing and reputable companies: Bioveta for Vaccines and Marcyrl for Hormones.

One of the common reproductive problems in dairy farms is the luteal cyst.

Luteal cyst develops when a follicle fails to ovulate but undergoes partial or complete luteinisation, cystic structure with thick wall of lutein tissue filled with fluid secreting progesterone continuously, blocking normal estrus cycle and reducing fertility.
