Pharmacology can broadly be divided into two parts-Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics. The former is the study of what happens to a drug once it enters the body..how it is absorbed, distributed, modified/metabolized and finally excreted. The latter is the study of the effects of the drug on the body..the organs it affects, it's mechanism of action, side effects and toxicities. It's an interesting field..have fun with it!
