تحليل الدم
هو عملية يتم فيها إجراء تحليل معملي على عينة من الدم ويتم أخذها عادةً من وريد في الذراع باستخدام حقنة أو عن طريق وخز الإصبع بإبرة.
وتستخدم تحاليل الدم لتحديد الحالة الفسيولوجية والبيوكيميائية للمريض، مثل اكتشاف الإصابة بأي مرض والمحتوى المعدني في الجسم وفعالية الأدوية والأداء الوظيفي للأعضاء. بل وتستخدم أيضًا في اختبار الكشف عن المخدرات. وعلى الرغم من استخدام مصطلح تحليل الدم ، فإن أغلب التحاليل الروتينية التي يتم إجراؤها من هذا النوع (ما عدا تلك الخاصة بمجال أمراض الدم) تتم على البلازما أو مصل الدم، بدلاً من خلايا الدم.

هناك اشياء لاغنى عنها فى بداية التفكير فى معمل تحاليل طبية :-
1- الترخيص مزاولة المهنة للمنشاءات و الافراد.
وهو اول الاوراق الرسمية التى يجب توافرها فى تكوين المعمل و يكون الترخيص اما ترخيص مزاولة مهنة لطبيب بشرى (بثولوجى اكلينيكى) او كيميائى (كيميائى طبى - ميكروبيولوجى - باثولوجى).
2- اختيار مكان جيد لمعمل التحاليل.
خصوصا لو المعمل مستقل بذاته و ذلك يتطلب مكان تزدحم فيه الدكاترة بجميع التخصصات (عظام – نساء - انف واذن – جلدية و تناسلية – اطفال - .......) وذلك لان وجود الدكاترة فى نس مكان المعمل يوفر الدعاية و اليافطات الدعائية.
3 – توفير متخصصين للعمل بالمعمل
اختيار المتخصصين من كيميائين او فنيين من ذوى الخبرات الجيدة يدفع عجلة العمل فى المعمل الى الامام.
4 – توفر رأس مال مناسب
للبداية لا يجب ان تكون الاجهزة جميعها حديثة او موديلتها ذات سعر عالى يمكنك الاول الاعتماد على اجهزة ذات امكانيات معقولة و تكلفة متوسطة.
5-اختيار الاجهزة
يعد اختيار الاجهزة من اهم العوامل حيث ان الاختيار الصحيح يوفر على المكان الكثير من الاموال فى غنى عن صرفها فى صيانة او اعطال لذلك يجب الرجوع الى متخصصين فى تجهيز معامل التحاليل لتكتسب منهم الخبرة فى تجهيز معملك
