By preserving bone bulk and compacting it into the walls of the osteotomy, you can create a stable, custom fit for any implant. In a 2014 study, trabecular bone compaction produced during the osseodensification technique with Densah® Burs was found to produce spring-back recovery. A 2024 study done by Nikolaos Soldatos, et al. showed that after 23 osteotomies, statistically significant temperature changes were found, and bur chatter was drastically increased due to dull and overused burs.
