Hello researchers we are back again🕵,
After defining our PICO and building the research strategy, data should be collected from reliable scientific databases such as:

Scopus
PubMed
Cochrane
world of science (WOS)

Also, Specific collection tools are used: EndNote, and Mendeley for collection, organization, and screening of the data set

So, how do we refine our data and exclude studies that are not relevant?

Hello researchers we are back 🕵,
we will discuss the first step and the most important step of conducting SR & MA

1-Search strategy🧐

it is all about formulating a research question and checking its validity.
first, you will form a research question by using the PICO concept:

or PECO

P: population (the patients selected as a research subject)

I/E: intervention (the change that we want to know its effect as medication, surgery ...etc.)
or Exposure (change that affects people without you being involved in the process) as Smoking

C: control/comparison groups the other group that took the placebo)

O: outcome (what we are measuring or expecting to happen)

E.g.: smokers (population), smoke ci******es (Exposure), non-smokers (control/comparison), lung cancer (outcome)

After formulating your question, you will search the databases for at least 3 clinical trials that best fit your search strategy and PICO

So, what databases should you use, and which programs will help you collect and organize your data?

The answers to those questions will be discussed in the upcoming posts.

واخيرا جه وقت الاعلان عن CMRA training program for scientific research 🔥
بس كلنا اكيد بنسال احنا هندخل معاهم ليه ؟ ايه اللي هستفيده ؟ هتعلم ايه بالظبط ؟
فالبوست ده هنحاول اننا نجاوب علي الاسئلة دي ونشرح بالظيط رحلتنا مع cmra هتبقي عاملة ازاي وبعد مانخلص التدريب هنكون اتعلمنا ايه وازاي نقدر نستخدم كل حاجه اتعلمناها سوا فاننا نشارك بنفسنا فاي فرصة بحث علمي تتعرض علينا ..ايه ده ثواني كده .. هو احنا فعلا هنتعلم حاجه نقدر من خلالها نساهم فاي دراسة بتتعمل ؟؟ 🤔
✅الاجابة هي اكيد طبعا ، هدفنا مش بس اننا نتعلم skills مختلفة لكن هدفنا هو تطبيق ده عمليا بطريقة تخلي كل فرد مننا producer مش بس consumer وده عن طريق فرص كتير ومختلفة للاشتراك فابحاث علمية بتتعمل علي مستوي الوطن العربي والفرص دي طبعا هتكون متاحه لاي حد قدر ان هو يخلص التدريب معانا لحد الاخر فخلونا نفهم سوا ايه هو التدريب اللي بتقدمهولنا cmra
⬅️اول حاجه احنا هدفنا الاساسي هو ان كل حد فينا ياخد ال training يبقي عنده basic research skills تاهله للتعامل مع اي بحث علمي ومش بس كده احنا كمان عايزين اي حد مننا يبقي فاهم كويس يعني ايه evidenced based medicine وتبقي هي الطريقة اللي بيبني عليها اي معلومة بيقولها او بيعالج بيها عيان ..
✅طب احنا هنوصل لده ازاي ؟؟
هنوصل لده من خلال ال training program اللي بيتكون من اربعة modules هناخد فيهم حوالي 7 شهور،خلالهم هنحاول سوا نتعلم كل حاجه عن ال basics of medical research وازاي نقدر نطبق اللي هنتعمله ده سواء في دراستا او شغلنا
1️⃣اول module هنفهم فيه يعني ايه صلا evidenced based medicine ايه هي انواع ال studies المختلفة اللي ممكن نلاقيها واحنا بنسيرش علي موضوع معين ومش بس نقدر نوصل لل studies اللي اتعملت عن الموضوع احنا كمان هنتعلم ازاي نقرا الكلام ونوصل للمعلومة اللي احنا بندور عليها
وكمان هنحاول نفهم ايه هي اساسيات ال statistics اللي هنكون محتاجينها مش بس عشان نفهم الكلام المكتوب ، لا ده كمان عشان لما نيجي نشارك فابحاث هتتنشر باسمنا نقدر نشتغل فيها من غير ما تواجهنا اي مشاكل
2️⃣تاني module وده بقي هنتعلم فيه skills اساسية لا غني عنها ومن اكتر الحاجات المفيده االي هنعملها وكلناا محتاجينها هي ازاي نكون قادرين نكتب ال cv بتاعنا وليه مهم يبقي لينا accounts علي LinkedIn, research gate , ORCID
ازاي نكتب formal E-mail وليه محتاجين نبقي بنعرف نتعامل بال mails
يعني ايه team work وليه اصلا مهم اننا نتدرب نشتغل سوا ونتعلم من بعض وازاي نقدر نعرض اي شغل بنعمله باحسن طريقة ممكنة
3️⃣تالت module وده هنعلم فيه حاجه مهمة جدا من غيرها كل اللي فات مش هنعرف نستفيد منه ، هنفهم سوا ايه هي ال principles of scientific writing وازاي نقدر نكتب كل ال data اللي وصلنالها بطريقة علمية اي مجلة علمية توافق بيها وتثبل تنشرها
4️⃣رابع module معانا هنركز فيه علي اهم نوع من ال studies وهي ال systematic reviews وفالوقت ده هنعلاف سوا يعني ايه بالظبط search strategy وازاي نعملها وايه هي الفايده منها وبعد كده هنعرف بالظبط ازاي نقدرنعمل data collection وايه هي الsearch engines اللي لازم نبقي عارفينها وبنعرف نسيرش عليها ونكون قادرين نفرق من بين كل ال results اللي طلعت ايه relevant لشغلنا وايه لا ، ايه هي ال studies اللي ال quality بتاعتها قوية وايه لا ، ايه هي البرامج اللي تقدر تساعدنا نتعامل مع كل عدد ال studies اللي طلع ده وننظمه ، ازاي نقدر نخرج الداتا اللي محتاجينها من كل واحده فيهم .
✅رحلة هتاخد مننا 7 شهور بس هنتعلم فيها كل الاساسيات وهنطبقها سوا ومنها هنبقي قادرين اننا نستغل كل الفرص اللي هتتوفرلنا مع cmra اننا نشارك فابحاث وتتنشر بإسمنا. 🔥🔥
