This tooth had been restored twice before,
yet the patient kept complaining of food accumulation and pain.
After multiple preparations, posterior teeth often tend to lose vitality —
but in this case, the molar was still vital, so preserving it was the priority.
A direct overlay using the Bioclear technique was selected instead of an indirect option.
To solve the main complaint, each proximal contact was restored separately,
allowing better separation and more predictable contact anatomy.
Simple changes in approach can completely change the outcome.
