Fabrizio Picchione PhD is an Advanced Certified Practitioner of the Rolf Method of Structural Integration also known as Rolfing. He discovered to have a deep passion in body work after receiving the full 10 sessions program of Structural Integration, which helped him recovering from his long term shoulder and back pain. He trained in the US, under the supervision of Emmett Hutchins, who has now more than 40 years of experience in Rolfing. Since he started practicing the Rolf Method of Structural Integration he has helped many people discovering a new sense of balance and freedom in their body, which led them to overcome physical pain and discomfort. The aim of Rolfing-Structural Integration is to balance the body structure using a myofascial release technique specifically affecting the fascial connective tissue. If we compare the human body to a camping tent, the poles are the bones and the tent's ropes are the fascia fibers. The tent is not held by the poles, but by its ropes, or rather their tension is what makes the tent stand still and not collapse. With Rolfing the tension in the ropes can be adjusted and your body can be reorganized around its vertical axis. You will not only get a better posture and coordination, but you will also experience a greater flexibility and a better breathing, improving your physical and sport performance and rediscovering a general feeling of well-being. The body structural changes obtained with this holistic technique will continue to improve even after the end of the full treatment. Fabrizio was born in Italy and has lived in USA for many years, where he has also worked as a muscle cancer researcher. Beside the Rolf Method of Structural Integration certification, he holds a doctorate in molecular and cell biology obtained from the Erasmus university in Rotterdam.

💫Aligned. Balanced. Empowered.

Discover how Rolfing (Structural Integration) harnesses fascia-work, gravity and your body’s vertical line to bring balance, strength and ease.

🔹 What it does:

Releases and reorganises the fascia (the connective tissue web around muscles/organs)

Realigns the body around its vertical axis so you’re balanced with gravity, not fighting it

Restores efficient movement patterns, posture and structural integrity

Enhances your sense of “being upright”, grounded and free in movement

🔹 Benefits in a nutshell:

Better posture & reduced slouch = less strain

More symmetrical body alignment = fewer compensations & less pain

Improved breathing (rib-cage freed, diaphragm works better)

Greater body awareness = you move with intention, not just habit

More stable, effortless balance = you feel taller, lighter, more powerful

Long-term structural change (not just a quick “fix”)

🔹 Ideal for you if you...

Sit or stand many hours a day and feel the fatigue in your back, hips, shoulders

Have tried “fixing” posture but find issues keep coming back

Want to move better, feel better, and live more aligned with your body

Are an athlete, creator, performer – or simply someone who wants to feel at home in their body

🩻✨ The Body’s Hidden Connections

When we look at an abdominal X-ray, we see more than just organs — we see a dynamic network at work. The liver, spleen, and even the psoas muscles are not isolated structures. They’re all linked through the incredible fascia network, an intricate web of connective tissue that unites every part of the body.

Everything inside us moves together — an absolutely specific and dynamic system, constantly balancing, adapting, and communicating. 🌐💫

Walking is the best exercise for your heart...

The calf muscles—especially the soleus and gastrocnemius—function as a “second heart” by helping push blood from the legs back toward the heart.

When they contract, the veins are compressed, and one‑way valves ensure blood moves upward. This action supports venous return and prevents blood from pooling in the lower extremities.

If activity is limited, the calf pump weakens, increasing risks of DVT, varicose veins, and chronic venous issues.

Because the soleus muscle is well-suited for endurance, it is particularly effective at sustaining the pump over time.

Strengthening and stretching the calves—via exercises like calf raises and calf stretches—enhances their function, helping maintain healthy circulation, reduce blood pressure, and protect against clot formation.
