We have many years experience in all aspects of care, specialising in Palliative, Dementia, Tissue Viability, Stroke et al Tenerife is a fantastic destination to either start a new life or retire to. The concern to many of our clients is what care can I have, Will I need additional support due to language barriers etc etc. Here at HCP Care, Hannah and the team try to break down the barriers, providing either nursing or home care options allowing you to live comfortably. Our aim is to support our clients in their own space, for some on discharge from hospital, wound care treatments may be needed or additional health plans integrated into the care to enable them to move forward. We are fully aware that here on the island there is not many actual care homes however our belief is that with the right support you should be able to enjoy the quality of life from the comforts of your own home. Independance is therefore a key part of the plans that our team will put together, with proven history in the rehabilitation of hospital discharged patients alongside a history of care you can be assured of professional care to support your living. Additional assitance can be achieved by some of the many companies we work with here on the island. If you require translation services for doctors, Home cleaning or washing / Ironing services we can help offer all round care as part of ongoing support. As we already head into Febuary and beyond we are thankful for all those who like, share and continue to support the work we do for both Tourists and Residents, our team are working incredibly hard providing care to those in need, From Palliative care to Repatriations, Standard Home Care to Dementia care, our team can cover it all.

Can we ask for any tourists wishing to visit the island this summer who need care - Please contact us as soon as possible, Ideally we need 6-8 weeks notice to book our holiday clients in, After that we unable to guarantee being able to provide care services during your stay.

We already have tourist bookings for Feb/ March / April /May and September and we would not wish for you to go without appropriate care during your stay.

We want to take our time to thank our wonderful staff who always go above and beyond!

We would also like to show you a team photo from our Xmas Meal out, however it isn’t the picture we were hoping for. As a few minutes prior to the photographer lining us up, One of our staff members took a nasty fall inside the restaurant due to a wet floor.

Credit to our amazing team of carers and Nurses along with the paramedic team and the hospital, ensuring that our head carer was all ok (after a lovely few hours in hospital) and released with a nasty headache for a few days, some will do anything for an extra day off 🤭 but it was very much needed. As always our team rallied around and made sure all our wonderful clients were seen to confirming what an amazing team we have.

The Yellow warnings are in place through Thursday with schools closed for the arrival of Storm Claudia

🌩️ AEMET ha actualizado sus avisos para el miércoles añadiendo el aviso amarillo por tormentas organizadas en las islas occidentales.

☔️ Además incrementa el aviso a nivel naranja en el sur de Tenerife por fuertes lluvias que pueden dejar 100mm en 12h y 30mm en 1 hora. Añade también al norte de Tenerife por 20mm en 1 hora aunque con menor probabilidad.

💨 El viento será fuerte con rachas muy fuertes del SW especialmente en cumbres. Por eso activan aviso de nivel amarillo.

AEMET UPDATES ITS NOTICES

🌩️ AEMET has updated its warnings for Wednesday by adding the yellow warning for storms organized in the western islands.

☔️ It also increases the warning to the orange level in the south of Tenerife due to heavy rains that can leave 100mm in 12h and 30mm in 1 hour. Also add to the north of Tenerife by 20mm in 1 hour although with less probability.

💨 The wind will be strong with very strong gusts from the SW especially on summits. That's why they activate yellow level warning.

As Winter approaches we are thankful for all those who like, share and continue to support the work we do for both Tourists and Residents, our team have worked incredibly hard during the Summer months providing care to those in need, From Palliative care to Repatriations, Standard Home Care to Dementia care, our team has covered it all.

Can we ask for any tourists wishing to visit the island in December / January who need care - Please contact us by October 15th to discuss your requirements, After that we will be unable to guarantee being able to provide care services during your stay over the Xmas, New Year period.

We already have tourist bookings for September, November / December and January and we do not wish for you to go without care during your stay. We can provide care plans from daily visits to weekly checks, suited to the requirements you have.

Great news for the British Ex-Pat Community who wish to give blood.

Spain has lifted its blood donation ban for individuals who lived in the UK between 1980 and 1996, ending a decades-long restriction related to concerns over mad cow disease (vCJD).

If you meet the eligibility criteria you may now be in a position to help save lives with your donations -

Qualified from The University of Derby in Adult Nursing. Speciaised in tissue viability and wound care. Advanced knowledge in palliative care. Fully trained and up to date in basic life support, manual handling, safeguarding adults and children, health and safety.

Registration is up to date and fully active can be confirmed on NMC website Qualifications and knowledge in district nursing, compression bandaging, wounds and complex wounds.

Safe administration of medication as well as subcut and intramuscular injections.

Urgent care experience can advise appropriate medical care from self care to A&E/ advisable hospital admissions. Can make medical decisions on observation of patient and act upon my findings.
