El Alzheimer no solo afecta la memoria, también puede alterar la percepción auditiva, la comprensión del lenguaje y la capacidad de comunicarse.

🔊 Como profesionales de la audición, sabemos que:

✅ El deterioro cognitivo y la pérdida auditiva están conectados.
✅ Una audición no tratada puede acelerar el aislamiento y la confusión.
✅ Detectar y tratar la pérdida auditiva a tiempo puede mejorar la calidad de vida en personas con demencia o Alzheimer.

Pero eso no es todo…
Un poco más adentro, en el oído medio, se esconde también el hueso más pequeño del cuerpo humano: el estribo (o estapedio), con tan solo 2,5 a 3 mm de longitud. 😲
Forma parte de la cadena de huesecillos junto al yunque y el ma****lo, y es esencial para transmitir el sonido.

But that’s not all…
A little deeper, in the middle ear, you’ll also find the smallest bone in the human body: the stapes (or stirrup), measuring only 2.5 to 3 mm in length. 😲
It’s part of the tiny chain of bones along with the incus (anvil) and the malleus (hammer), and it plays a crucial role in transmitting sound. 🔊

Aber das ist noch nicht alles…
Etwas weiter innen, im Mittelohr, befindet sich auch der kleinste Knochen des menschlichen Körpers: der Steigbügel (lat. Stapes), mit einer Länge von nur 2,5 bis 3 mm. 😲
Er ist Teil der Gehörknöchelchenkette – zusammen mit Amboss (Incus) und Hammer (Malleus) – und spielt eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Schallübertragung. 🔊
