Lleva las piernas detrás de la cabeza, levanta las piernas rectas hacia el cielo con los manos en el parte superior de la espalda, dedos de los pies activos no tensos, alineación desde los hombres hacia los pies.

Utthita Trikonasana 🔼 Extended triangle pose⠀

A staple asana coming from the Ashtanga primary series, creating strength💪🏼, stability⬇️ flexibility🤸🏼⠀

The motion of grounding through the feet, while lengthening the lateral side of the body. Through the arms reaching towards the ankle or the grabbing the big toe while you are projecting the other arm upwards towards the sky. A perfect balance of grounding, lengthening and growing. ⠀
If you are feeling like your bottom hand is putting too much pressure on your shin or ankle, try focusing on growing upwards through the projecting arm towards the sky. The strength is in your abdomen, back, legs and feet, alleviating any pressure on the hand that's connected to the leg. ⠀

Next time you try, imagine you are between two walls. Place the hand infront of the shin to practice growing strength in your core, back and stability in your legs instead of relying on your hand on the shin to support you in the posture.⠀

Una asana que proviene de la serie primaria de Ashtanga que crea fuerza, estabilidad y flexibilidad. ⠀⠀

El movimiento de conexión a tierra a través de los pies, mientras se alarga el lado lateral del cuerpo. A través de los brazos llegando hasta el tobillo o agarrando el dedo gordo del pie mientras proyectas el otro brazo hacia el cielo en una línea recta. Un equilibrio perfecto de conexión a tierra, alargamiento y crecimiento. ⠀⠀

Si sientes que tu mano inferior ejerce demasiada presión sobre tu espinilla o tobillo, intente concentrarte en crecer hacia arriba a través del brazo que se proyecta hacia el cielo. La fuerza está en tu abdomen, espalda, piernas y pies, aliviando cualquier presión en la mano que está conectada a la pierna. ⠀⠀

La próxima vez que la intentes, imagine que estás entre dos paredes, y coloque la mano frente a la espinilla para practicar el aumento de la fuerza en tu abdomen, espalda y la estabilidad en tus piernas en lugar de confiar en tu mano en la espinilla para apoyarlo en la postura.

Inversion postures in yoga🤸🏼‍♀️⠀

At the end of a practice it's important to include some inversions postures, holding them for a longer amount of time. In our day to day living, our hearts are always below our heads working hard pumping oxygenated blood around the body. With inversions we ease the pressure on the heart 🫀⠀

Here are a few benefits of practicing inversions✨⠀

• Lowers blood pressure⠀
• Improves lymphatic drainage⠀
• Back pain relief⠀
• Builds confidence⠀
• Relaxes and calms the mind⠀

Inversion postures in yoga🤸🏼‍♀️⠀

"The ecstatic unfolding of the enraptured heart"🫀⠀

Open your heart towards the sky, inviting love compassion, empathy and stimulation of the heart chakra "anahata" cultivating self love and love for others, peace, acceptance and self confidence. Work on the legs and hip flexors, strengthening shoulders and upper back. ⠀

• Start in adho mukha svānāsana (downward facing dog) ⠀

• Bring your weight into your right hand and roll onto the outer edge of your right foot like Vasisthasana (Side Plank Pose).⠀

• On the inhalation, lift your hips. Stay strong in your right hand, anchoring to the mat. On an exhalation, step your left foot back and place your toes on the floor with your knee partially bent.⠀

• Bend back through your upper back to create a sweeping action of the shoulder blades into the back of the rib cage, opening the chest.⠀

• On an inhalation lift your hips higher until you deepen the backbend with your right foot fixed on the ground.⠀

• Keep breathing and look backwards, extending your left arm from your heart⠀

• Hold for 5-10 breaths from the chest, return to adho mukha svānāsana and repeat on the other side.⠀

Not only do twists calm the mind but they also detoxify the body and help alleviate stress, mild depression and anxiety. It also massages the internal organs, which helps get rid of all the toxins from the body and then regulates the circulatory and digestive systems thereby helping aid better sleep😴🌙✨⠀⠀⠀
