Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). In many cases, it presents no symptoms in its early stages and many people don't realize they are living with this eye disease until it has already affected their vision. In fact, it is estimated that up to 50% of people with glaucoma are unaware they have this eye disease.
On World Glaucoma Day, it is important to raise awareness about the daily challenges faced by people living with this silent condition, as well as to highlight the relevance of regular eye check-ups, early diagnosis, and
proper follow-up. Because the progression of glaucoma and the associated loss of vision can be slowed with early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
And this is why, at , we are committed to listening to patients and healthcare professionals to help develop solutions that address their real
needs.
