ARQUB is a member of the ArchAIDE consortium. We hope that this new project will be a milestone in Archaeological research and diffusion as we expect from the research project. ArchAIDE will start on June 1st 2016 and will last for three years.

Majolica will be one of the case studies developed in the project.

As an outcome from the GlobalPottery 1st International Congress on Historical Archaeology and Archaeometry for Societies in Contact it is intended to publish a refereed volume.

Deadline for manuscrits reception is September 15th.

Manuscripts will be sent to independent referees in order to evaluate the suitability for publication. Referees would be able to suggest minor or major changes to the original text, or even the rejection of the manuscript.

NEW Deadline for submission of abstracts: September 30, 2011 .

The abstracts should be between 200 and 400 words. They should contain introductory information about the materials examined, a description of the aims of the work, the techniques used, and the results obtained so far, including a short interpretation.

Only papers whose subjects fall in one or more of the designated sessions will be accepted for presentation

Prize

In order to encourage the enrollment of postgraduate students in Historical Archaeology and Archaeometry, and to encourage their participation in the Conference, the Organizing Committee has decided to establish the GlobalPottery Student Award to the Best Oral or Poster Communication.
