WAM is on the move! 📦

Today marks the end of an era and the move from the small storage in Barcelona to a fulfillment center in Madrid. 😱

Why? Mostly because what started with one humble flavour of vegan protein has grown significantly over the last two years, and the upcoming restock of Banana Bread, Chocolate Hazelnut and Vanilla protein simply wouldn’t have fit into the old storage. 😅

But also because this brand is still a one-woman-show and the time it took me to pack and drop off parcels is probably better spent developing new products and interesting content (and do the boring stuff like accounting). 🙋‍♀️

And while I’ll miss packing every order lovingly by hand, I’m sure some of you will be very happy to hear that this move means we’ll add DHL and Correos to the list of available shipping options - and we’ll get the Banana Bread protein back 😉

Until we’re all set up in Madrid, which will probably take another week, things stay as they are. I’ll keep you updated here and in the Stories. 😁

Onward! 🚀

Small service disruption! 😅

Unfortunately, we ran out of Chocolate Hazelnut protein samples, which means the classic sample packs are currently not available. 🫣

However, you can now create your own sample pack on the sample product pages. Just select if you want 6 or 12 and add your choices in the dropdown!

Samples will be back around 2 weeks after the next big restock arrives - end of May. Working with a new filling partner enables us to produce 2x the amount of samples from last time, hopefully avoiding out-of-stocks for a while 😉

I’m still in shock!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your support!

Like every founder, I have a lot of hopes, dreams and wishes - and it seems like I have the insane privilege of being able to actually turn them into reality, bit by bit.

Not thanks to some investor who’s just in it for the money, but thanks to people who actually enjoy using WAM products and can get behind the mission to kick stereotypes and diet culture to the curb, making fitness & nutrition about health again - for Every Body.

Next stops on the journey: Moving into a fulfillment center to unlock more shipping options across the EU - and finally bringing our beloved Banana Bread Protein back!

Plus, I’m working on a partnership that’s close to my heart, and I hope I can tell you more about that soon.

I was told not to bother with recipe videos. Every brand does them, and most do them better. Maybe that’s true.
But here we are anyway, so tell me in the comments: should I keep going or not? Genuinely want to know.

These brownies happened yesterday and they are absolutely divine. Dense, fudgy, chocolatey — and they keep well in the fridge for a few days, which makes them perfect for the week ahead. The recipe below makes 4 big slices, so double it if you need more.

And yes, these have sugar and oil in them. Not black beans, not applesauce. That doesn’t make them better or worse than other versions, it just means the nutrient distribution looks different. I personally love both. Eat what you actually enjoy. 🤎

Vegan Protein Brownies (4 big slices)
- 80g oat flour
- 60g WAM Chocolate Hazelnut protein
- 25g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 60g brown sugar
- 60g melted coconut oil
- 180ml soy milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Mix everything together until you get a very dense dough. Press into a lined 20×20cm baking tray, scatter over 50g roughly chopped hazelnuts and press them lightly into the surface. Bake at 175°C for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly before slicing.

Enjoy 🍫

Happy Birthday to us!

And by “us” I mean you and me, since the WAM-”team” is still a one-woman-show ;)

But a one-woman-show that has come pretty damn far over the last two years!

Yes, I’m still working a part-time-job to sustain myself.
Yes, I’m still putting every cent coming in through WAM back into WAM.
Worth it?
Worth it!

A big THANK YOU to every single one of you for your support and feedback over the last two years. Whether that’s flavour requests, showing up at events or photoshoots, helping me make up my mind on packaging design or just sending a really nice DM when I needed it.

I’m so curious to see where the journey goes in year 3!

Anna xx

Are you accidentally drinking your dinner?

Both come in a pouch and both mix with liquid in a shaker, but protein powders and meal replacements are designed for two completely different jobs.

Protein powder is a supplement — it’s there to help you hit one specific, harder-to-manage macronutrient. A meal replacement is a ~500-calorie mix of protein, carbs, fats, fibre and vitamins designed to replace a full meal.

Meal replacements can be incredibly useful — for example when you don’t have the energy or capacity to cook, or you’re in a pinch and literally don’t have time to sit down and eat. But keep in mind that relying on them daily comes with a biological catch:

Digestion begins in your mouth. The physical act of chewing releases salivary enzymes and sends crucial satiety signals to your brain. When you bypass chewing and drink a liquid meal, your brain often doesn’t register that you’ve eaten — leading to lower satiety and making you feel hungry again much sooner.

If you have protein powder and want to create something more similar to a full meal, blend it with carbs (oats, banana), fats (peanut butter, chia seeds) and micronutrients (fruit, veggies). Best of both worlds — and you can still chew something alongside it.

No, just no.

🤦‍♀ “Fat people are just lazy” — Body size is not a metric of discipline, health, or worth.
🤦‍♀ “We all have the same 24 hours” — Tell that to someone working double shifts, managing chronic illness, or navigating systemic hurdles.
🤦‍♀ “Lifting weights makes you bulky” — Only if you lock in your training and diet for years... and your genetics play along.
🤦‍♀ “It’s too late to start” — No. Your body responds to strength training at 25, 45, and 75. Just go for it.
🤦‍♀ “All vegans are weak” — Training + Protein = Muscle. Your body doesn’t care if the amino acids came from a pea or a cow.

What else should we add to this list? Let us know in the comments 👇

Entrepreneurship is hard, and I’m sick of pretending it’s not!

So here’s one (of many) mistakes I made as a solo-founder.

When I launched WAM in 2024, my first - and only - product was a Banana Bread flavoured vegan protein. Why, you might ask? Because I thought I needed something “special” to stand out.

I genuinely thought I was being smart. What I didn’t realise: I was asking people for too much. Trusting a brand-new brand. With an unfamiliar product philosophy. Less sweet. Milder flavour. Extra Leucine. And the icing on the cake: an unfamiliar flavour for a protein powder.

Needless to say that sales the first few months were... underwhelming.

Launching a Chocolate Hazelnut flavoured protein was the solution. People finally had something familiar to hold on to. And from there, they started exploring.

The lesson: innovation is great, but people need at least one anchor of trust before they’ll take the leap.

The happy ending? Banana Bread is coming back this May — by popular demand. Turns out people loved it once they were brave enough to try 😉

DIY vegan high protein pudding! 🍫

I don’t know about you, but I just couldn’t find a protein pudding without dairy — and also no vegan pudding that’s high in protein. So obviously, I cooked up a solution 😉

All you need is:
🥛 300ml plant milk (I used soy for even higher protein)
🌽 10g cornstarch
💪 35g WAM Protein of choice (I used Chocolate Hazelnut)
Optional:
🍫 1 tsp cocoa powder (for the chocolate version)
🍯 Sweetener — I used 1 tsp agave syrup, but maple or a date or two work great too

Blend everything until smooth, transfer to a pot, and heat while stirring until it thickens — this happens very quickly! Pour into a bowl or glass and add toppings if you like.

Enjoy it warm or keep it in the fridge for later. Just like normal pudding made from powder, it will form a bit of a film on the surface when it cools down. That was actually my favourite part of the pudding as a child — how about you 😅?

I was told it’s a bad idea to start as a “European” brand.

They said communicating mainly in English isn’t going to work. That customer behaviour between countries is too different.

I didn’t listen. And now it makes me very happy to receive reviews in different languages for my protein powder ❤️

On that note: Please feel free to reach out to me in any language 😊 if it’s English, German or Spanish I’ll reply on the fly (no guarantees there won’t me mistakes though 😜) - anything else I’ll just run through a translator 😁

And also: thank you so much for leaving reviews! It’s one of the things that helps me the most in growing WAM 🫶
