HOW TO MANAGE ANXIETY DURING QUARANTINE
2. Structure
Being in a lockdown and having our daily routines completely disrupted can create a lot of anxiety. We might be tempted to go with the flow and not to have a schedule in place, but this is not a great choice. We need routines to feel safe and stay centred, while always leaving space for flexibility. Decide the time you want to wake up, the time you want to go to sleep and the mealtimes. Then work all the rest around these. Seems simple but structure is something we easily lose when it is not imposed on us. Lack of structure would not be a problem if it didn't create added stress. We need to be very careful here though not to become over controlling: there's a lot of space between complete anarchy and dictatorship.
