SLIDE

Problem: Your hips drive too far toward the target on the downswing.

Pain: You lose speed, block shots, and miss left/right inconsistently.

Possibility: You can stay centered and rotate through the ball.

Pleasure: Effortless power, balanced finish.

Prison: You think sliding = shifting weight — it’s actually lost control.

Path: Test your lead leg strength and hip deceleration.

Perspective: If you can’t decelerate, you can’t rotate.

Power: Strengthen your lead glute and adductors.

Sway

Problem: Your hips slide away from the target on your backswing.

Pain: You lose coil, can’t load power, and your timing’s off.

Possibility: Build stable, centered rotation that feels powerful and balanced.

Pleasure: You’ll feel coiled at the top — not stuck.

Prison: You’ve been working on your weight shift instead of your core control.

Path: Screen your trail hip stability and glute activation.

Perspective: Power starts with stability — not just movement.

Power: Assess your glutes, then train rotation over stability.

🧱 1️⃣ Early Extension

Problem: You stand up during your downswing.

Pain: You lose posture, leak power, and stress your lower back.

Possibility: You can stay in posture effortlessly.

Pleasure: Solid contact, more compression, and pain-free golf.

Prison: You’ve been told it’s your swing — it’s actually your hips.

Path: Screen your lead hip internal rotation.

Perspective: If your lead hip can’t rotate, your body has no choice but to thrust forward.

Power: Assess → Release → Strengthen your hips.

Speed Loss

Problem:
Your swing speed is dropping every year.

Pain:
Every drive feels like more effort for less reward.

Possibility:
You can get faster again — safely.

Pleasure:
More distance with the same effort, and no pain after.

Prison:
You’re training the wrong system — most golfers try to swing harder instead of training their body for speed.

Path:
Find out what’s holding your speed back — usually stiffness or sequencing.

Perspective:
Speed isn’t just about force — it’s about timing and freedom.

Power:
Start with the Unbreakable Power Assessment — see where your speed leaks live.

Inconsistency

Problem:
Some days you’re striping it, others you’re spraying it.

Pain:
You can’t trust what’ll show up on the first tee.

Possibility:
Your swing can feel reliable every time you play.

Pleasure:
Confidence walking onto every tee box.

Prison:
You’re chasing swing fixes when your body’s not moving consistently.

Path:
Get screened — consistency comes from repeatable movement, not random tips.

Perspective:
Your swing only repeats if your body does.

Power:
Start with a mobility and stability assessment.

Fatigue and Tightness

Problem:
You feel stiff and tired halfway through every round.

Pain:
Your swing starts sharp… but fades with your energy.

Possibility:
You can stay strong and consistent right through to the 18th.

Pleasure:
Finish rounds feeling solid, not sore.

Prison:
You think it’s “just getting older.” It’s not.

Path:
Find out if your training and recovery match your golf demands.

Perspective:
Golfers don’t overtrain — they under-recover.

Power:
Assess your recovery, stability, and endurance patterns in a power screen.

Lower Back Pain In Golf

Problem:
Your lower back aches every time you play or practice.

Pain:
You’re walking off the 18th like you’ve done a deadlift session.

Possibility:
You can swing pain-free and still generate serious power.

Pleasure:
Imagine walking off the course feeling loose, strong, and ready to go again.

Prison:
You keep stretching your back — but the problem’s in your hips or T-spine.

Path:
Get a full mobility screen — find where your body’s locking up.

Perspective:
If the hips and thoracic spine don’t move, the lower back does the work.

Power:
Start with the hip internal rotation and thoracic rotation assessments.

Loss of distance

Problem:

You’ve lost a club or two in distance over the last few years.

Pain:

You’re watching the lads (and your son) fly it past you — again.

Possibility:

You can rebuild that power, even if it’s been years.

Pleasure:

There’s nothing better than flushing a drive and seeing it run past theirs.

Prison:

You’re blaming your swing… when it’s probably your body.

Path:

Start with a TPI power screen — find out what’s leaking energy.

Perspective:

If your sequence is off (hips → torso → arms), you’ll always swing harder than you hit.

Power:

Assess your sequencing and rotation patterns.

Golf Story

My name is John Seton and I help golfers get out of pain, move better and increase how far they hit the golf ball.

I spent years getting back and neck injuries playing golf and the only advice from experts was to rest.

These experts didn't play golf, and had no idea about the game.

So the answer was pain killers and see what happens.
