Any ideas? So my wife ordered food from her own door dash account… for me and the boys while the girls shopped. She texts me about 30 min later and says her order was cancelled at the last minute and asks me to handle lunch. So I place an order to a different restaurant. Order accepted, food is prepared, driver assigned and headed to grab it… Five Guys for the win!!!!
Except 2 minutes later I get a cancellation… Something about an issue with the driver. Ask the wife… Same thing.
So I hit automated support… no help. Get to a live agent who somehow managed to be even less useful than the chat bot.
I’ve attached that conversation for sh*ts and giggles, but wondering if anyone has any ideas?
We use door dash multiple times per week, with a family of 7 it ain’t cheap and I always tip really well… 20% minimum as my home is a solid 5-8 miles from most places. I’ve also driven myself for holiday money over the years and know how awful no/low tippers are… My average tip has got to be north of $20.
Regardless today’s weirdness was from 2 different doordash accounts, 2 different restaurants…. Same address, same result.
Anyone else have this experience or ideas on causes?
