Sexuality is part of life.
(In fact, everything we hide out of shame is also part of life.)
Death too.
Everything we don’t want to see.
For example:
– Something a friend, partner, or family member did that had an impact on you
(stealing, cheating, being emotionally unavailable).
– Something that happened in your family that impacted the rest of the system’s survivors.
– Everything in your life that isn’t working the way you would like it to.
All of that is life too.
Human beings cling to “the good” in order not to suffer.
And suffering is left in a lower, suppressed layer.
That keeps us stuck:
not moving forward,
or reacting from imbalance.
Everything we don’t want to see exists.
And when we open our gaze, a door opens:
• to expansion
• to not repeating the same patterns
• to changing what doesn’t work
• to deep inner healing
A healing that can create a 180° shift
in relationships,
in love, in work, in family and in the external world around us.
We are part of a WHOLE.
And within the whole, polarity exists:
the “positive,” the “negative,”
and everything in between.
And you…
How do you live your life?
Do you focus only on accepting the external, feeling that “everything is fine”
and that there is nothing to look at?
Or do you dare to open your eyes
to see what needs to be tended to and transformed?
I choose the second.
And each person chooses as far as they can.
In my case, even when I choose to look,
the unconscious and the nervous system are still there, trying to protect me,
which sometimes doesn’t allow me to see everything.
And that’s okay.
It’s part of being human.
Each of us covers what feels dangerous to look at.
It’s a self-preservation system
we’ve learned throughout our lives.
I’ll leave you with this question, so you can feel into it:
How can you be kinder to yourself
and give yourself permission to look without judging yourself?
And also…
to say “I don’t want to go there,”
knowing that some situations will repeat themselves,
but being at peace with that,
because your nervous system only allows you to go that far 🙏
