It’s debut week! 🎉 This week marks a milestone as Delyana Lazarova steps onto the podium in her new role as the BBC SSO’s Principal Guest Conductor.

She opens this chapter with a programme that reflects her wide-ranging musical passions — from Jessie Montgomery’s vibrant sound world and Samuel Barber’s lyrical intensity, to the evocative seascapes of Debussy’s 'La mer' and Rachmaninov’s mighty Piano Concerto No.3 with Isata Kanneh-Mason.

Orchestras such as Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra or Netherlands Philharmonic appreciate her collaborative approach. By allowing the character and history of each orchestra to shape her vision, she creates interpretations that are alive with nuance — no two encounters are ever alike.
