Azaroaren 11an Civicaneko Innova Programaren bilera egin zen, Fundación Caja Navarra eta Fundación la Caixa-ek finantzatuta. Gure laborategiak, Judit Ayalak ordezkatuta, Eunaterekin batera parte hartu zuen bileran, “Entzuten dut, ikusten dut eta hitz egiten dut” proiektuaren oinarriak ezagutaraziz. Judit has suggested that we read this article to better understand her research 🧐. The study examines the use of real-time visual input of the tongue, tracked with ultrasound, in speech therapy with twenty children aged 6 to 15. Participants were subjects to the use of this technique one hour a week during 10/12 weeks. Ten kids acquired one new phoneme by the end of the first or the second session. Results are similar to those from previous research: speech therapy with ultrasound is beneficial to address varied speech disorders.

El estudio evalúa el uso de la retroalimentación visual de la lengua con ultrasonido en tiempo real en veinte niños de entre 6 y 15 años con trastornos de los sonidos del habla —desde leves a graves—. Los participantes recibieron 1 hora semanal de intervención durante 10/12 semanas. Diez de los niños lograron adquirir un nuevo fonema en la 1ª o 2ª sesión del tratamiento. Los resultados de este estudio son similares a los de anteriores investigaciones: la terapia con ultrasonido es beneficiosa para una amplia variedad de subtipos de trastornos del habla.

Ikerketak hizkuntzaren ikusizko atzeraelikaduraren erabilera ebaluatzen du denbora errealean ultrasoinuen bidez, 6 eta 15 urte bitarteko hogei umetan; hauek mintzamen-soinu-nahasteak dituzte, bai arin zein larriak. Parte-hartzaileek astean ordubeteko esku-hartzea jasotzen zuten 10/12 astez. Haurretatik hamarrek fonema berri bat eskuratzea lortu zuten 1. edo 2. tratamendu saioan. Ikerketa honen emaitzak aurreko ikerketen antzekoak dira: ultrasoinu terapia onuragarria da hizketa-nahasteen azpimota askotarako.

Judit Ayala Alcalde 😎 is one of the additions to our lab! She is a graduate in Pedagogy, Speech Therapy and Education in Hearing and Language. She is a predoctorate researcher at the University of Navarre for the School of Education and Psychology: her research is financed by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.🔍
Up to date, her work has dealt with speech disorders as well as with language in general, speech and hearing. She’s very interested in doing research and sharing scientific knowledge related to speech therapy!

Judit Ayala Alcalde 😎 es una de las nuevas adiciones del laboratorio. Es licenciada en Pedagogía y graduada en Logopedia y en Magisterio de Audición y Lenguaje. Actualmente es una investigadora predoctoral en la Universidad de Navarra, concretamente en la Facultad de Educación y Psicología: su investigación está financiada por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación.🔍
Hasta la fecha ha trabajado en la evaluación, prevención e intervención de diferentes trastornos de la comunicación, el lenguaje, el habla, la audición y otras dificultades de aprendizaje. Ahora le interesa particularmente investigar y compartir conocimiento científico en torno a la logopedia.
