The inner sparkling sanctuary Jardin de Luz was founded in 2021 out of a deep need to create a place that is both intimate and transformative. It offers a safe, tranquil haven for people and animals with a more sensitive nervous system, where they can find peace and a renewed connection with themselves. Over the last 2 years, Pingel Braat and her husband Peter van Enk, have been creating and building the foundation for their dream: Transforming a neglected Finca into a beautiful paradise that is getting more beautiful every day. This year, 2022, they open their doors and welcome you. Peter & Pingel offer you a friendly, caring family atmosphere where you can really be yourself and feel seen and heard from the heart. It has also become the home of the holistic well-being center Move into Joy, which was founded by Pingel in the Netherlands 15 years ago. Move into Joy offers healing, self-discovery, transformation, and growth through somatic movement, dance, creativity, and energetic therapy to women who are HSP and live with trauma symptoms such as prolonged physical tension and tightness, an undervalued self, insecurity, oversensitivity, anxiety, decision-making difficulties, and a fragmented attention span. To help them move from freeze into flow, from old narratives and outdated self-images to feeling whole and present in the now, from hard to a heart for themselves, and to reclaim their body as a safe, and joyful place to live in. Pingel Braat offers personalized solo retreats and thematic retreats for small groups of women in a familiar atmosphere in her Finca Jardin de Luz. She found this tranquil olive grove, that she called Jardin the Luz which means garden of light, in the summer of 2020. Ever since she and her husband, Peter van Enk, are creating a peaceful sanctuary for people who need to come home to themselves, restore their vitality at the heart of their being, and re-ignite their inner fire, their inner sparkle so they can refind meaning, fulfillment, and joy in their lives and bodies. The inner sparkling sanctuary Jardin de Luz lies amidst peaceful olive and citrus groves. It is embedded in the earthy, powerful energy of the Alpujarra Mountains, in the province of Granada in Spain. It is the perfect setup for coming back to self and to rest, digest, and recharge. The large outdoor dance space with a wooden floor, facing the ancient pine forest and high mountain peaks of The Sierra Nevada, offers an intimate setting for a deep dive into self-discovery and healing immersions, allowing your inner world to be felt and expressed. There are many beautiful places to retreat to alone in the wild orchard. The shaded outdoor dining area provides a welcoming space for connection, meaningful conversation, and fun. And during the hot summer days, you can take a refreshing dive in our swimming pool. Jardin de Luz is within walking distance of the lively, friendly mountain village of Lanjarón and close to the bustling, bohemian village of Orgiva. The Alpujarra way of life is simple, honest, pure, and closely intertwined with the calm rhythms of nature. The Alpujarra nature is known for its pure air, pristine spring water, an abundance of colorful healing herbs, rich wildlife, and enchanting walks in the mountains, where we breathe in the ancient culture of the Moors, walking along centuries-old irrigation channels and medieval donkey trails. The nearest beaches are a 30-minute drive away and within an hour you can reach the Sierra Nevada ski resort. In 40 minutes, you can be in the center of the beautiful, lively city of Granada.
