This case tells the story of a patient who came to us after going through a long and frustrating journey. She had been treated at a clinic that went bankrupt and shut down, leaving her without a proper solution. As a result, she was left with a compromised smile and reduced chewing function.
As you can see in the images, the implants were placed in very poor positions, especially the one in the 1.1 region.
After discussing all possible options, the patient made it clear that she did not want any additional surgeries or implant removals. Instead, she preferred to rehabilitate both her upper and lower prostheses while keeping the existing implants, as they did not show significant bone loss or active pathology despite their poor positioning.
This case is a perfect example of how rushed dentistry and careless implant placement can lead to highly unfavorable outcomes. We are grateful to the patient for allowing us to share her case, as it highlights an essential lesson: sometimes, less is more. While the result may not be perfect, the most important thing is that the patient is happy and smiling again. That’s what truly matters.
