🌊 4 THINGS THAT ARE STOPPING YOU FROM HAVING THE CONFIDENCE TO MAKE THE CHANGE

If you’re feeling the pull to change your work or start something new, confidence isn’t what’s missing. It’s clarity and space.

What’s usually getting in the way is:

• Waiting to feel “ready” - Confidence is built through action, not before it. Waiting keeps you stuck in your head.

• Looking for permission - The more opinions you gather, the quieter your own voice becomes.

• Tying self-worth to old roles - Who you were successful as is not who you’re becoming.

• Staying loyal to an identity that no longer fits - Growth often requires letting go of what once worked.

✨ If you’re craving space to reset, reflect, and gain clarity on your next chapter, our retreats are a great place to start.

There are moments in life when the change that is happening to you is obvious.

A new career.
A promotion.
Starting a business.
A move.
Retirement.

But the internal change takes a bit longer to get your head around.

You’re not quite the old version of you anymore.
But the new one doesn’t feel fully real yet either.

That in-between stage can feel strange.
A bit unsettling.
Sometimes even a bit lonely.

This client was in that place.
They were already running a business.
But they couldn’t quite say the words
“I’m an entrepreneur.”

Not because it wasn’t true.
But because their identity hadn’t caught up with their reality.

Once they gave themselves permission to grow into that new version of themselves, everything else became simpler.

It’s often the case, that people don’t reach out to us because things are completely falling apart.

It’s because life looks fine. But doesn’t feel the way it did. Or ‘should’.

They’re tired, but not sure why.
A bit restless, but still getting the job done.
Thinking, “I should be grateful… so why do I feel like this?”

And that’s usually a sign that your energy isn’t being spread evenly.
Some parts of your life are taking up all your energy, and other bits have been neglected.

The Wheel of Life is a really simple exercise we use when someone says:
“I don’t even know where to start.”

It helps you take a step back, and look at your life with a zoomed out lens. Which can often help to notice what’s really going on. Bit by bit.

It doesn’t mean you have to make any big decisions.
Or feel pressure to change anything, or everything.
But it can be a good first step to get a clearer sense of where you are.

If this sounds like you, comment WHEEL and we’ll send you our free Wheel of Life workbook. A great way to take stock of where you’re at, and think about what comes next.

Here are 16 tiny habits that help get some clarity when you’re overwhelmed:

1 • Getting clear on what’s actually yours to decide
2 • Not trying to solve everything at once
3 • Separating what you know from what you’re assuming (we all do it)
4 • Checking if the pressure is coming from you or from someone or something else
5 • Asking “what’s in my control right now?”
6 • Choosing what aligns with your values, not your current mood
7 • Making decisions when you’re rested, not exhausted
8 • Writing things down so it’s not all just in your head
9 • Deciding what doesn’t need your attention today
10 • Taking the smallest next step that actually helps
11 • Naming the one decision that actually matters right now
12 • Noticing when overwhelm is about capacity, not failure
13 • Making choices that protect your energy
14 • Stopping once the decision is good enough
15 • Trusting that you don’t need total certainty
16 • Committing without overthinking it

You can save this, or come back to it later if it helps.

If you’ve ever had a moment that felt bigger than it should have, this is often what’s going on.

When we’re under pressure, it’s easier to slip out of our Adult self. A part of us reacts, and another part jumps in telling us to pull ourselves together. It can feel uncomfortable, confusing, and exhausting.

The Parent–Adult–Child model helps make sense of this without judgement.

It’s not about fixing yourself or stopping reactions from happening. It’s about noticing what’s there and gently coming back to a place where you can respond rather than react.

That’s where things start to feel clearer. Conversations feel less tense. Decisions feel less heavy.

Most of the women who come on this retreat are doing fine, on paper.

Life is doing what it does. They’re getting on with things.
But maybe something feels a bit tired, or just not quite right.

They’re craving quiet.
Time on their own without having to explain it.
Space to move their body, rest properly, and put things to one side for a few days.

Some are at a crossroads.
Some coming feeling stuck.
Some just know they need space before the next bit makes sense.

This retreat is a calm few days in a really beautiful place.
There’s structure so you don’t have to plan or decide what to do every day.
But there’s also plenty of space and flexibility. Nothing is a must-do.

It’s a small group.
Incredible food.
Beautiful surroundings.
Time together, and time to yourself.

Mallorca, 24-28 October 2025.

Postcards from us from January 💌

NIKITA: January felt like a month of two halves for me. The first half was like a little magical bubble. No routine. Snow everywhere… and a lot of it! Sledging. Being snowed in for days. Wrapped up and sitting outside at night, watching more snow coming our way. And the most incredible sunrises.

Then the second half arrived. Wet, wild, windy. Still dark. A lot of screen time. Not getting outside enough. How life can be sometimes. Especially this time of year. But, that hibernating January feeling is wearing a bit thin now. We’ve got some really exciting things planned this year and I’m feeling ready to get stuck in now. February, you’re a welcome sight! 🌱

My pics:
1. Beautiful sunrises (and calm seas - oh how I miss you!)
2. Muddy walks
3. Another epic morning sky
4. Let it snow
5. It’s cold but we’re getting in anyway
6. Snowy fun

LAURA: January, 2026 arrived amid a heavy political backdrop, an unrelenting news cycle and ongoing atrocities, making “normal” feel hard to define. Here is what normal has looked like for me:

I had planned to ease gently into the year, but instead faced three weeks of flu, an interview, and a major application! However I’m excited to note that we have also been quietly tending the early seeds of new offerings for Blue Spaces, with the hope and intention that they will bud at the turn of the season. 🌿

So fewer photos this month and 3 that are simply resources I return to when I need hope and nourishment:

1. Snow on New Year’s Day
2. My sickness companion
3. Resources for hope
4. Resources for hope
5. An ongoing study group that feeds my soul

How was your January? A mixed bag like ours?

Change rarely feels hard because you don’t want it.

It feels hard because it asks you to:

* face fears you’ve learned to manage by staying still

* let go of habits and roles that kept things stable

* move before you feel fully ready

* tolerate uncertainty instead of controlling it

* admit that what worked before might not fit anymore

None of that means you’re doing it wrong.
It means you’re human, and paying attention.

Real change doesn’t start with forcing confidence.
It starts with understanding what’s underneath the hesitation.

If you’re noticing resistance and want help working with it - not against it - we’ve created a free resource called Embracing Change.

It breaks change down into manageable steps, helps you identify the real barriers (not just the obvious ones), and gives you a steady way forward without overwhelm.

Sometimes (and we’ve been there), there’s a point where you can’t tell what’s wrong anymore.

Is it the job?
Or are you just exhausted?

One day you’re thinking, ‘I can’t keep doing this.’
And the next day it’s, ‘Maybe I just need a break, a long weekend, a week off and I’ll be fine.’

So you keep going.
Because where are you going to find the time or energy to figure it all out.

That doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful.
It usually just means you’ve been running on empty for a while.

Sometimes you don’t need answers, just yet.
You don’t need to make a big decision or have a plan.

You just need a few days where:
- no one needs anything from you
- you’re not reacting to emails or messages every few minutes
- you can move your body without pushing it
- and get some headspace back

Not to fix your life.
Just to get some perspective.

That’s what our retreats are for.

If you read this and thought, ‘Yeah… that’s me,’ comment REST and we’ll send you the details.

No pressure.
No big decisions.
Just time away to feel more like yourself again.

24/01/2026

There’s a moment many of us get to, where nothing is wrong exactly, but staying the same doesn’t feel right either.

The urge is to decide.
To label it.
To move somewhere just to feel like you’re moving forward again.

Before you do, be honest with yourself, and have a think about these questions:

1. What part of me is afraid that slowing down means failing?

2. What identity am I afraid to outgrow if I choose differently?

3. What pressure am I carrying that didn’t actually come from me?

4. What do I think will happen if I don’t decide yet?

5. What would it look like to trust myself before I trust the outcome?

You don’t need answers today.
You don’t need a plan.
You don’t even need to know what “next” looks like.

But you do need to pay attention and sit with (sometimes) the uncomfortable questions.

If you’re in that in-between place, and want somewhere to think things through without pressure, comment NEXT and we’ll send you our free toolkit ‘Find Your Next Chapter’ - a gentle way to explore what else might be possible, without rushing yourself into a decision.
