1. Eat your breakfast later on in the day and make it high in protein & fibre to keep you full and help you to eat less calories

2. Carve out 10 minutes to do a full body weight workout daily :
20 Squats
10 Push ups
20 Walking lunges
20 Jumping Jacks

This lowers bloody glucose & gets you in the right headspace 💪 Yes it does make a difference 😉

3. Avoid the “ all or nothing “ mindset. Just as one healthy meal will not get you in shape - one indulgent meal will not put on heaps of weight.

It’s the compunding of good habits that help to mitigate unwanted pounds.

Forward meal planing and cooking will reduce your waistline and take the stress out of eating 🥦

Emotion and habit can drive our behaviours around food.

When it comes to eating there are a multitude of reasons that we make short term food error’s.

The most fundamental one being too busy to eat- then grabbing the first thing in sight - which we often regret later.

Spontaneous, short term gratification usually makes us unhappy in the long term🥴

Forward planing and taking a few hours each week to Bulk cook will remedy all this stress. If you make it a weekly routine then it will get quicker each time.

Save time by switching the cooker on and cooking múltiple meals at once- and extra!

I put a whole chicken in my slow cooker. This goes on to provide a few protein meals and snacks .The bones can be simmered for broth or soup.

I have a large layered Steamer & put in brócoli 🥦 cauliflower , corgette and spinach . Change these up every week for squash, beans, peas etc.

Boíl a ton of eggs and pop them in a jar with vinegar to preserve them.

Slice aubergine and quickly pan fry.

Ditch the sauces & salsas for top notch heart healthy extra Virgin olive oil and local sea Salt full of minerals.

Personally i keep food simple at home and if I want something fancy I go out to eat.

Simple food that is fresh & seasonal should not need too much tampering with.

Stack all your healthy veg & proteins at the front of the fridge so as soon as you open it - it’s there ready to eat!

If You struggle to push your body weight up from the ground (with correct technique- elbows in) , you are not alone!

Many women when they start to train with me start with the last version on this video - or against a wall or back of a bench or sofá.

It does not matter where you start from - the most important thing is to start.

Pushing away transfers to pushing open doors, pushing trolleys, maybe even defending yourself.

As we age we lose muscle mass, strength and bone density.

Muscle is replaced by fat , metabolism declines and our arms give way to the jiggle.

Do you want toned arms , especailly at the back?
Do you want a nice pert chest ?

If you want to increase your daily calorie burn- push ups are a fabulous exercise you can do anywhere !!!!

I can coach you on how to do them - and more impotantly correct technique.

Reflections today as I turn 50🎉

People keep asking how I feel at this age.

Honestly? I feel amazing. Stronger in my body, calmer in my mind and more grateful for every sunrise session by the sea 😊🌊

And yes...I’ll still be strength training at 60. Hopefully 70 and 80! Absolutely.

A fabulous day .

Having fun on the course with Peter, one of my first Palma friends over 25 years ago! 🏌🏻‍♀️

- Warren Maritime was a fabulous buggy driver 😜.

Lots of familiar faces & lots of lovely Maritime business connections made.

- Jamie - was the lucky winner of my Personal Training prize donation to the raffle!

All procedes went to - amazing Nick ploughs so much good energy and works so hard.
