🇬🇧Chickw**d: this annual w**d is common in Europe and North America, growing largely in the fields. You will identify it by its line of thin tiny hairs on the stem that distinguished it from other similar ones. I love to cook it in soups, or make a pesto sauce with it. It is refrigerant, laxative and diuretic. Should better be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. More info here with your fav doc!

Se la identifica fácil al mirar sus tallos que tienen una fina y única línea de vello que la diferencia de otras similares. A mí me encanta en sopas y en salsa de pesto. 🇬🇧Plant-based fats (those “omegas”) have been proven not only NOT to increase your body weight (although they don’t make you loose it either) but also to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. They protect the brain and nervous system from aging, they help sustain blood glucose levels so our energy is stable and we don’t feel hungry, they keep our joints hydrated, our bowels moving, and our organs happy. Veggie fats come in different forms and we should be eating them daily for our health. Avocado, olives, cacao, seeds, nuts, cold-pressed oils, spreads and butters... Such variety!
🇪🇸Las grasas vegetales (los conocidos “omegas”) han demostrado a la ciencia no solo que NO engordan (aunque tampoco adelgazan) sino que además son un factor de prevención cardiovascular enorme. Protegen al cerebro y sistema nervioso periférico de los efectos de la edad, ayudan a mantener los niveles de glucosa en sangre estables (y así mantienen hambre a ralla), “hidratan” nuestras articulaciones, mantienen flujo intestinal... un chollo que mantiene a nuestro sistema feliz, ¡vaya! Las grasas vegetales las podemos consumir de diversas formas y las debemos incluir diariamente en la dieta. Aguacate, aceitunas, frutos secos, semillas (cáñamo, chía, sésamo), aceites vírgenes (oliva, lino, nuez), mantecas (avellanas) y untos (tahini)... tal es la variedad que solo puedo darte ejemplos.

🇬🇧Easy and simple way of having a smooth and clean skin:
- Let some water sit for 30min in a bowl and then add some white clay. Mix well.
- Add 3-5 drops of Tea Tree Oil and mix well.
- Spread evenly in face, neck and neck line.
- Let it dry until you cannot move your face. Meditate in the meantime or do your nails.
- Wash thoroughly with warm water, and apply your regular skin cream/serum.

🇪🇸Simple y fácil manera de tener una piel limpia y radiante:
- Deja reposar agua en un bol unos 30min. Echa unas cucharaditas de arcilla blanca y mezcla bien.
- Añade 3-5 gotas de Aceite de Arbol del Te. Mezcla bien.
- Distribuye homogéneamente por la piel de cara, cuello y escote.
- Deja secar hasta que tire de la piel. Medita, hazte las uñas, o aplica crema en tu cuerpo mientras esperas.
- Lávate bien con agua templada, y luego masajéate con tu serum/crema habitual.

I feel honoured to be able to share, during this complicated period of time and history, but from all of my love and kindness, this little comic that we’ve (Cae and Pablo) been working on for now 4 years. There is a paper version that we’d also like to promote, but we thought it’d be beautiful to share an ebook version with all of you during these days we are under a lockdown, so that we can all share knowledge, wisdom, healthy practices, love and self-care.
