I’m afraid we have some sad news.
We have made the difficult decision to close Sayalonga Mountain Honey (formerly Comares Mountain Honey).
There are two main reasons (among others) for this decision.
Lives have changed for most of us over the past couple of years. We are now travelling more due to prioritising spending time with family and friends. The experience of the lockdowns highlighted how important it is to take opportunities to be with loved ones as often as we can.
Also, we are both training more. Trinity will be running 420 miles in a 3 race series this year known as the Canalslam https://canalrace.org.uk/news/category/canalslam/ and Paul is returning to his love of mountain climbing which will include climbing the Matterhorn. As you can imagine, training for events such as these takes up a lot of time.
We have loved every minute of being beekeepers over the past 5 years and have learnt so much about these wonderful creatures who literally help the survival of humankind, asking for nothing in return except flowers and water. Caring for the bees and providing a home for them has been a true privilege.
We have a few active hives that we will continue to care for but we will be selling empty hives with frames, plus some beekeeping clothing and various beekeeping paraphernalia, so if you know of anyone who would be interested in what we have please message us.
But most importantly, bee kind 🐝❤🐝
