What does it mean to be spiritual?
Being spiritual means an opening of consciousness towards the knowledge that we are spiritual beings with a body and a mind. The understanding of this fact causes a deep change in the identification of the person with the body and the mind.
The spirit is our divine essence, the part of God that lives in us, pure love, energy, light. Each one feels more comfortable with one of these words but in essence it is the same.
When we become aware of this divinity and connect with it, our perception of our world is different.
How does this happen? This happens because we begin to vibrate in the frequency of love, gratitude, and compassion. These high frequencies attract positive people, events, and experiences into our lives. Positive in the sense that these provide us with great pleasure since they are directly related to the objective or purpose of life.
How do I know if I am living my life from my loving essence or from my ego?
This is very easy to observe when you consider the following. If you live your life from your divine light you are in the present moment most of the time and when you are not, you are aware of it. When you don't judge people for being and acting different from you, but you accept them as they are. You are not afraid to express what you think or feel and you do it assertively naturally. When you listen and feel before starting an activity to find out if you really feel like it or need it. When you feel grateful for who you are, for what you have, for the love you give and receive. You can also appreciate that you do not care what others think of you and feel that you do not need anything or anyone to be comfortable and at peace.
Of course, this evolution is a path that we all have the option to follow if we have the will to do it.
Regardless of where you are on the road, meditation and self-observation are two essential tools in our evolution.
From the Flor de Loto Experiential Center we are preparing ceremonies, workshops and activities aimed at awakening consciousness. Our workshop "Practices for the awakening of consciousness" was a great and enriching experience for both facilitators and participants. I am very grateful to life for being able to carry out this type of activities in a place that is ideal for it.
Thank you for your attention and happy present.
