🇪🇸 Toledo | When ABR comes together, everything moves forward.

There are moments that explain what ABR really is better than any definition ever could.

These days in Toledo were not just about sessions. They were about time spent learning together, refining ideas, asking new questions, and aligning once again around the future of the work we share with families.

Leonid, Mauricio and Manuel — ABR — together again in Spain.

Mauricio spent these days working closely with Leonid, diving deeper into the newest tools and evolving approaches that are now becoming part of the way we support families. Because for us, there is no real separation between in-person work and online guidance — it is one continuous process.

What happens in the room becomes clarity for families at home.

And maybe the most meaningful part of all was what doesn’t always appear in photos: long conversations, real connections, and the quiet understanding that this journey continues to grow year after year.

Toledo reminded us of something essential — ABR is not only technique.
It is relationship, continuity and trust.

We move forward. Together.

🇪🇸 Team Lili | Returning after almost two years… and discovering changes that never stopped growing ❤️💛❤️

After a challenging period filled with infections, complex medical decisions and a long pause in travel, Team Lili returned to Toledo. And what we saw was not regression… but a quiet evolution that is now becoming visible.

Lili started ABR in 2021 with a rare genetic condition often described as “irreversible.” This visit confirmed something essential: consistent work never disappears, even when the journey includes pauses.

💬 Leonid Blyum:
“When deeper tissue layers begin to organize, the body may look unusual. It’s not loss — it’s structure waking up.”

During the evaluation we observed important structural changes:
– Stronger neck-to-clavicle connection, giving the head real support.
– Breathing and abdominal organization showing new articulation.
– Dramatically improved tissue quality, with less superficial redness and clearer internal differentiation.
– Hands, legs and pelvis entering a phase where structure consolidates first… and freedom follows.

One emotional detail stood out: Leonid noted that Lili no longer makes the continuous sounds seen in her early ABR years, and she can now stay comfortable without constant repositioning — a powerful sign of deeper organization.

Some positions may look different now. But this is not regression — it’s tendons and structure appearing where everything used to be too soft to guide the body.

Through fatigue and difficult years, Lourdes and José continue forward with remarkable dedication. Thank you for trusting the process and building layer by layer.

🇪🇸 Team Manu — Protecting What Already Works

Not every family comes to an evaluation looking to change everything.
Sometimes they arrive with a quieter question: what if we first understand what is already working before making bigger decisions?

Manu, 16 years old, travelled with his family to Toledo for one of the free pre-assessments we offered in Spain this February. They came with real questions, important medical proposals on the table, and many years of therapy and thoughtful decisions behind them.

His case doesn’t fit into the typical picture. With a rare genetic condition and a very particular body structure, Manu continues to walk and explore the world in his own way. And that is exactly where the evaluation began.

During the session, Leonid Blyum didn’t focus first on what was missing.
He looked at what was already present.

Unexpected strengths appeared quickly: active foot connections, a natural spreading capacity that supports his movement, strong lateral lines helping him stay functional, and a patella working better than expected.

So the question changed:

How do we protect what already works — and make it easier for him?

ABR didn’t start from the idea of correcting everything at once.
The plan was simple: begin with a small set of exercises focused on feet and legs, observe Manu’s response, and move forward step by step.

That same afternoon, the family completed their first training session with Mauricio, following Leonid’s prescription. No pressure, no big promises — just a clear direction: start gently and build from existing strengths.

Now Team Manu begins their work at home, one step at a time.

Sometimes the biggest change begins by protecting what is already working.

🇪🇸 Team Alonso | Coming back and seeing the body respond

“Look at those fingers… how is that even possible?”
That was the first thing Covadonga said during the session. ❤️💛❤️

After several years without coming, Alonso was back this week working with Leonid in Spain.

With his recent growth, lack of weight gain, and digestive challenges, we honestly expected more locking… but the opposite happened.

As soon as we started working with the hyperspeed microphone and the hand stations, something beautiful happened:

The hands reacted.
They opened.
They “woke up”.

The change was visible within seconds.

After years of consistent work at home, seeing such an immediate response is one of those moments that reminds you why all the effort is worth it.

During the evaluation Leonid emphasized something very important:
“For the body, respiration is always the top priority. When the system needs to adapt to breathe better, the digestive system often pays the mechanical price.”

Suddenly, everything makes sense.

It’s not only reflux.
It’s not only the esophagus.
It’s about how the body organizes its priorities to survive.

He also said something unusual:
“I’m actually happier after examining him than after seeing him sitting.”
Structurally, the body is responding better than it appears at first glance.

This is not a sudden miracle.
It’s the result of years of consistency: nightly wrapping, weekly work, fascia gel on hands and feet, and staying consistent even during difficult periods.

This visit also had a very human moment.
After a recent whiplash injury, we showed Covadonga some gentle neck stations to complement the work she is already doing with her physiotherapist. When the caregiver regains structure and energy, the whole system breathes better.

Congratulations, Team Alonso. It’s truly wonderful to see you again. ❤️💛❤️

🇪🇸 Team Lea — Mother and Daughter, One Structural Journey

For years, Ana believed that the constant effort in her body was simply normal.

Living with instability, fatigue, and the feeling that everything had to be held together by tension, she never imagined it could feel different.

After months working with her own ABR program, she shared something that stayed with us:
“My whole life I thought everyone felt like this…
and now I’m realizing my body can actually hold itself.”

Moments like this are difficult to describe unless you experience them.
When structure begins to change, effort is no longer the only strategy the body has.

During our recent ABR visit in Spain, it was incredibly special to see both journeys evolving at the same time — mother and daughter, each with their own program, each progressing in their own way.

Team Lea has been working with ABR since 2023 and has attended every visit with Leonid. This long-term consistency is clearly visible:

• Better hand structure and clearer thumb articulation
• More defined separation between palm, wrist and forearm
• Improved torso stability
• Less global twisting patterns
• Wider, more controlled leg transitions

These are not dramatic changes.
They are deep structural changes — and they accumulate.

At the same time, Ana’s own progress reminds us of something we see again and again:

ABR is not only about cerebral palsy.
Structure is universal.

When the body begins to build real support — neck, ribs, pelvis, legs — people often discover sensations they never experienced before: less effort, more stability, more freedom to move.

Another highlight of this visit was having Mauricio working closely with the family during the course, helping translate Leonid’s evaluation into clear, practical work at home.
That continuity between evaluation, training, and daily routine is where long-term change truly happens.

We are very proud of both journeys — Lea’s and Ana’s — and excited to see what the next year will bring for this team.

🇪🇸 Team Any — 15 years of work and entering a new phase of structural reorganization

After beginning the in-person ABR sessions in Spain,
one of the first cases reviewed was Any, a family with a very long journey inside the program.

They started ABR back in 2010, in the early days of the towel-based exercises,
and the work has been consistent ever since.

What is especially meaningful in this case is that this is not about a single intervention,
but about a true team process.

Team Any includes her parents, the trainers, and also Any herself,
who actively participates in her own body work and daily integration.

As her mother explains:
“Body transformation is not a final goal, but a continuous process of reorganization and adaptation.”

This recent session once again confirmed something we often see in long-term processes:
the body does not change overnight — it reorganizes progressively.

During the evaluation, clear changes were observed in several key areas:
• greater openness and function in the clavicle and shoulder blade region
• structural improvements in the thighs and overall leg stability
• visible changes in the sitting platform
• ongoing evolution in the organization of the buttocks, sacrum and coccyx

Leonid also highlighted:
“This is by far the most chest activity we have ever seen.”

From Any’s own experience, the changes are felt especially in:
“the sitting platform, the buttocks, and the shoulder blades.”

These in-person reviews help reveal something essential:
when structure begins to reorganize, new possibilities for movement, stability and breathing appear.

Transition phases are not always comfortable,
but they are precisely what allows the body to move into the next stage.

In ABR, progress rarely comes as a sudden jump.
It is built layer by layer, year after year.

Function changes when structure reorganizes.

After several very intense weeks in Mexico,
ABR is now continuing in Spain.

We have already started the in-person sessions with families,
with Leonid Blyum leading the evaluations
and Mauricio already here working directly with them.

ABR in-person visits are not just about exercises.
They are key moments to better understand body structure,
adjust the strategy,
and open real new possibilities for the months ahead.

If you are in Spain or Europe and would like to learn how these in-person evaluations work,

Pablo Nicolás · ABR Mexico 2026 🇲🇽

Some visits begin with doubt —
and end with a new sense of calm.

Before this review, Pablo Nicolás’ mother wrote to us with a very honest concern:
“We see a lot of spasticity, especially in the arms and legs.
We don’t see improvement.”

After so many years of consistent work, saying this is not giving up.
It is paying attention — and asking for support.

Pablo Nicolás’ family has been with ABR since 2016.
They experienced the original in-person ABR format in Mexico, the transition to online work with Leonid Blyum, the introduction of vibratory tools, and since 2021 they have been a key part of keeping ABR traveling to Mexico for regular in-person sessions with Mauricio, once or twice a year.

In response to the family’s concern, Leonid carried out a deep case review, comparing videos across several years and looking at the long-term process. His conclusion was clear:
when the body becomes more stable — especially after spinal surgery that now keeps Nicolás safer and better aligned — movement can change its expression. Increased tone does not necessarily mean regression; it can be part of a deeper structural reorganization.

After this review, Nicolás had his in-person training session with Mauricio in Guadalajara.
And the message from his mother completely shifted:
“I think this was one of the best sessions since we started ABR.
The exercises were perfectly tailored to Nicolás. I am very happy.”

During the visit, Mauricio confirmed what Leonid had observed: better trunk and shoulder stability, more active and varied movements of the arms, head and legs, preserved joint mobility, increased muscle volume, and above all a Nicolás who was more attentive, more connected, more expressive and smiling.

Practical aspects of daily life — such as cervical support in the wheelchair — were also addressed, understanding that therapy does not stop at the session, but supports real life.

This case reminds us of something essential:
sometimes progress does not appear first as a new skill,
but as a deeper understanding of what is truly happening.

Thank you, Team Pablo Nicolás, for your honesty, consistency, and long-term trust.
We keep going. Step by step. 💚 🤍 ❤️

ABR Mexico Visit 2026 – Francisco de Oro 🇲🇽

Francisco has been doing ABR since 2022. They started with the online program and since 2023 they combine home work with annual in-person visits in Mexico.

After years of consistency, Francisco is now much more comfortable in his own body, tolerating positions that used to be very difficult for him and staying seated for long periods, even during long trips.

As Leonid said in his latest review:
“Last year we already saw improvements, but this year the new freedoms are on a completely different level.”

And Mauricio confirmed it during the visit:
“Today he looks more comfortable in his own body and tolerates positions that he couldn’t sustain before.”

His mother, Yasmin, sums it up like this:
“Francisco tolerates his therapy very well. He is very happy and feels comfortable with the progress achieved.”

One of the most beautiful details of this stage is that he no longer wants to use his glasses. When we ask him if he sees well, he answers with a kiss 💚 🤍 ❤️

Consistency, structural work and time. This is how real change is built.

Team Francisco – ABR Mexico 2026 🇲🇽

Some stories remind us why we do ABR.

Francisco started ABR in 2021, recommended by a therapist. What was meant to be “trying something online” became a long-term journey of consistent work, a deeply involved family, and small changes that, over time, turned into real changes.

Today Francisco is 19 years old.
And what we see now is something we didn’t see a few years ago.

His mother, Dulce, shared:
“We are very happy to hear that he is now in a position to work on transitions that will help him become more independent, something that wasn’t possible in previous years.”

That is huge.

It doesn’t mean everything is perfect.
There are still challenges.
But for the first time, we are talking about real independence as a possibility, not just a distant idea.

From Leonid’s perspective, the key change is not only “doing more things”, but something deeper:
Francisco has gained more stability, more control, and a wider movement repertoire, which opens new possibilities for balance, posture, and communication to keep emerging over time.

The family sees it every day:
- Francisco is more agile.
- He has more strength in his trunk and legs.
- He communicates better.
- Sometimes he even tries to stand up.

And maybe the most honest sentence of all:
“He has a lot of strength, but now he is starting to know how to use it.”

After the in-person session with Mauricio, Dulce said:
“The empathy that Mauro has with Francisco and with the whole family makes the work kind and fluid.”

Leonid summarizes it in a very simple way:
it’s not about forcing functions, but about improving the structure so the body has more options. When that happens, functions emerge on their own.

And that is exactly what we are starting to see in Francisco today.

Francisco’s story is not about “before and after”.
It’s about year after year.

And today, for the first time, we look ahead with a very clear feeling:

We are in real change. And the future looks good. 💚 🤍 ❤️

Team Sergio · ABR Mexico · February 2026 🇲🇽

Team Sergio has been with us since 2020, since Sergio was very little.
They are now in their 6th year with ABR, and they are one of the families who best represent what long-term work really means.

Six years of consistency.
Six years of learning, adjusting, repeating.
Six years of not giving up.

This year started with a new case review prepared by Leonid Blyum, which became the foundation of Sergio’s program for all of 2026.

And Leonid summarized it with one key idea:

The problem is not the brain.
The problem is in the body.

In how the body breathes.
In how it organizes itself.
In how much tension it needs just to function.

After that came the in-person training with Mauricio in Mexico.
Several hours of real hands-on work, practicing all the exercises with the family and applying the program directly.

What we see today is very meaningful:
- Sergio tolerates position changes much better.
- He can stay in prone without discomfort.
- His pelvis is lower, his body is more relaxed, and his head control is more stable.
- He follows with his eyes, shows more curiosity, and connects more with people around him.

His mother described it perfectly:
“Now he can pay more attention to everything he sees, as if internally he were better and could do other things instead of only managing his inner state.”

And there is one change that stands out above all:
his irritability has decreased significantly.

During this session, Sergio completed the full exercise routine.
No crying. No constant breaks. No emotional overload.

That is not just a clinical improvement.
That is a nervous system that is starting to feel safer inside its own body.

Six years later, the path continues.
There are still challenges. There is still work ahead.

But this family is no longer walking blindly.
They have understanding, direction, and a body that is slowly reorganizing from the inside.

And that, in real life, is what progress looks like.

Team Maximiliano. ABR Mexico. February 2026

Angélica had spent many years doing what all mothers who never give up do:
searching, trying, insisting.

Therapies since Max was just a few months old.
Surgeries. Constant rehabilitation.
And always the same feeling in the background: we do so much… but the spasticity always comes back.

From our very first contact, they were not asking for miracles.
They were asking for something much simpler: to understand what was happening in their son’s body.
Why, after so much effort, there was still tension, pain, fear about the future.

When Leonid prepared the case review, there was one sentence that changed everything for them:
“Max’s brain is there.
The problem is not in the brain.
The problem is in the body.”

Suddenly, many things started to make sense.
It wasn’t about forcing more.
It was about reorganizing better.

And then February arrived.
Mauricio spent almost four hours with them in Aguascalientes:
“Max is quite an autonomous young man: he moves independently, makes transitions, eats by himself, goes to the bathroom on his own.
But in our training we saw something very clear: much more strength in the arms than in the legs, difficulty in the lumbopelvic area, and a body that relies on the upper part because the lower part still cannot support in the same way.”

It wasn’t a therapy session. It was real training:
the mother learning all the exercises, touching, trying, understanding.
And Max even managed to do one of them himself with the microphone tool.

Angélica summed it up at the end of the day:
“It was a good day of work and learning.
We made a good connection with Mauricio… and that helps a lot.”

For a family that has been fighting for more than 20 years, that is not a small thing.
It means feeling accompanied.
Having answers.
Having direction.

And, for the first time in a long time,
not walking blindly anymore.
