✋ 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲: when the median nerve becomes compressed at the wrist.

Tingling in the fingers, weakness in the hand, or night-time pain are common symptoms of this condition.

In this video, Dr David González Traumatologo , specialist in upper limb surgery, shows how we perform a carpal tunnel release, a procedure that relieves pressure on the nerve and restores hand function.

🔎 It is an outpatient procedure performed under local anaesthesia, allowing the patient to return home the same day.

⏱ Recovery is usually quick:
✔️ The surgical wound typically heals within around 2 weeks
✔️ Within one to one and a half months, patients usually regain full hand function and symptoms resolve.

When should you actually worry about back pain?

According to 𝗗𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗼́𝗺𝗲𝘇 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮́𝗹𝗲𝘇 from the 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 at Traumacare Clinic, most cases of lower back pain are not serious. However, certain warning signs should not be ignored.

You should seek medical advice if:

– The pain does not improve after several days
– You experience tingling or weakness in your legs
– The pain radiates into the buttock or down the leg
– Night pain prevents you from sleeping
– You develop fever or unexplained weight loss

These symptoms may suggest something more than muscular strain.

In spine conditions, early assessment often leads to better outcomes.

🩸 PRP step by step: how 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 works at Traumacare Clinic.

Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment is not just an injection - it is a structured clinical process.

🔎 1️⃣ Medical assessment and diagnosis:
We begin with a detailed consultation and examination to confirm whether PRP is appropriate.

🧪 2️⃣ Blood extraction:
A small sample of the patient’s own blood is taken.

⚙️ 3️⃣ Centrifugation
The sample is processed to concentrate platelets and growth factors.

💉 4️⃣ Ultrasound-guided injection::
The PRP is precisely injected into the affected area using ultrasound guidance.

PRP can be indicated in tendon injuries, joint pain, and certain stages of osteoarthritis - always under proper medical criteria.

Lower back pain doesn’t always mean a slipped disc or something serious.

In this video, 𝗗𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗼́𝗺𝗲𝘇 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮́𝗹𝗲𝘇 from the Spine Unit at 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 explains that most cases of low back pain are mechanical and linked to:

– Poor posture
– Overuse
– Muscle weakness
– Long hours sitting or standing

It’s also common in people with physically demanding jobs or those combining a sedentary lifestyle with poorly planned exercise.

The good news?
Most cases improve with conservative treatment, tailored exercise and better habits.

If your back pain keeps returning, don’t ignore it.
An accurate diagnosis can prevent it from becoming chronic.

🩺 The right treatment always begins with the right diagnosis.

At Traumacare Clinic, our approach is structured and thorough, as explained by Dr David González Traumatologo:

1️⃣ Listening carefully and taking a complete medical history.
2️⃣ Performing a detailed physical examination to identify pain points and functional limitations.
3️⃣ Using appropriate imaging tests such as MRI, ultrasound, or X-ray when required.

Only then can we truly understand the problem and offer the most suitable treatment.

🎯 Because treating pain without understanding its cause is never enough.

✨ Last Friday, we held a very special lunch for Traumacare Medical Group, bringing together almost the entire medical team.

A moment to share, reflect, and continue building the path we are shaping together.

💬 We are still “savouring” the conversations, ideas, and the truly interesting and inspiring moments that emerged around the table.

💡 Because behind every patient, there is a team that thinks, evolves, and grows.

🔎 Whiplash injury (Part 2): which treatments actually work

When neck pain, stiffness or dizziness don’t go away, the solution isn’t always rest or medication.

👨‍⚕️ In this video, Dr Juan Fernando García Doctorgarciahenares explains which structures are usually affected after a whiplash injury and why an accurate diagnosis is essential to choose the right treatment and prevent pain from becoming chronic.

📌 If you’re still experiencing symptoms weeks after an accident, don’t normalise them.

🔍 Training is also part of the treatment.
Because high-quality orthopaedic care begins with continuous learning.

🎓 Recently, Dr David González Traumatologo took part as a faculty member in an elbow arthroscopy training session, part of the Master’s in Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery at the University of Barcelona, in collaboration with the Spanish Arthroscopy Association (AEA).

💡 An intensive anatomy lab session with real specimens, focused on refining surgical technique and building confidence in arthroscopic procedures for the next generation of surgeons.
