Good evening here is some useful information to our clients n people in need

LEY DE DEPENDENCIA

Have you lived in Spain for 5 years? Do you have a disability and need support? The Ley de Dependencia is a law that provides access to many services and benefits funded partially or totally by the State for dependent people of all ages. The benefits are awarded to enable people to pay for home care. To get the services, the dependant or their representative has to apply for the Ley de Dependencia through the local Spanish Social Services department.

Attached is a link to information on the benefit (in English). As it states, this benefit must be applied for through your local social service department. It is important to note that this benefit can take significant time to be administered. Time varies from area to area as is frequently the case here in Spain.

Please remember you can also apply for your "blue badge" via social services. These departments are frequently the gateway to other services throughout the community.
