Patellofemoral pain is when pain occurs at the front of the knee, around the kneecap (patella) that can be caused by problems in the knee joint or the surrounding soft tissues.

Symptoms can include pain consisting of a dull ache, swelling, weakness and a grating feeling when the knee bends/straightens.

A physiotherapist can assess your range of pain and range of movement which will help them provide targeted treatment to address your symptoms. If you are looking for a physio near you, find one here: https://bit.ly/3uLpd4k

Rotator cuff injuries

A rotator cuff tear is a common cause of shoulder pain.

Physiotherapy can be used to regain strength and movement after an injury. Your physiotherapist will advise you on various exercises, and they can use ice, heat, massage, and equipment to help return your shoulder back to its normal range of motion.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) includes conditions such as angina, heart attack and stroke. Heart disease is caused by a gradual build up of fatty deposits in the coronary arteries, causing them to narrow and leading to angina.

Cardiac rehab programmes have been shown to be very effective, with physiotherapists playing a key role in these programmes.

Dear patients.
Due to the current rapid developments concerning the COVID-19, the subsequent state of emergency and now full lock-down, I am closing the clinic with immediate effect until further notice. Our guidelines until clinic closing time on Friday was that we could still see urgent patients next week providing they did belong to any high risk groups. Our special edition COVID-19 newsletter from yesterday is now no longer correct in terms of my availability.

I close the clinic in full compliance and agreement with government strategies as well as our governing body of physioterapists.

We all have a responsibility to act responsibly, ethically and above all colletively and I hope you are all in agreement with me when I say ,

I am planning an exercise session for arthritis sufferes on Tuesday the 17th of March at 12.00-13.00 via Skype. If you would like to participate, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I will rearrange appointments by telephone once we have a clearer time frame available.
For now, stay safe, positive and active around the house-but above all: Wash your hands and stay at home!!!!
