Autism and Environmental Toxins
In Ethiopia, 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 is rarely discussed if it exists at all. Clients come with a desperate desire to get pregnant, as if the goal ends with having a baby. But what about having a healthy baby?
Unfortunately, we do not discuss autism through a neurodevelopmental lens, nor do we address it medically. Some trigger factors that cause a gene to become fully expressed are environmental toxins. As the saying goes, "𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫."
For mothers planning to get pregnant, the first step should be 𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 especially those implicated in carrying 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 or absorbed : 𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬, 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬.
