We are excited to announce that Debo Engineering and Fortuna Healthcare Solutions have signed an MOU to co-develop AI and digital technology–based community healthcare services. During the signing, Dr. Elias Ali Yesuf (MD, MPH, PhD, FEAS )CEO and co-founder of Fortuna Healthcare Solutions highlighted the wide areas of collaboration and the potential to transform community health. Eng. Jermia Bayisa , CEO and cofounder of Debo Engineering, shared our seven years of experience applying AI in agriculture and expressed our commitment to now bring this expertise into healthcare — the second national priority. This collaboration marks an important milestone in our shared mission to improve lives through innovation. We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making this achievement possible and look forward to advancing community wellbeing with AI and digital technologies.

Income tax amendment proclamation no. 1395/2017 - Ethiopia.

Fortuna attended a four hour presentation by the Ministry of Revenue - Jimma branch.

We have summarized key points for you
✅️ Businesses are two categories: Category A and Category B
✅️ Employment income tax rate. People earning less than or equal to 2000 ETB pay 0% rate
✅️ Withholding tax rate is 3%
✅️ Minimum alternative tax rate is 2.5%
✅️ Digital content creation is taxable

CEO of Fortuna Healthcare Solutions, Dr. Elias A. Yesuf participated in an event organized by Satchmo American Center, Embassy of United States of America, Ethiopia.

The event brings together entrepreneurs, businessmen, CEOs, and aspiring youth.

During the event Dr. Arega Yirdaw, President of Unity University gave a talk on leadership.

Dr. Yirdaw led 26 companies, among them, MIDROC Ethiopia (one of the largest holding companies in Ethiopia).

He stated that organizations have people, strategy, systems, culture, and leadership.

He described authentic leadership which adaps leadership concepts to the Ethiopian context.

In particular he stated the 3H model he follows: Head, Heart, and Humanity.

He said "don't fire people from your companies in Ethiopia because the whole family of your employee depends on your company. Give another chance to your employee. Think with your heart."

He emphasized creating belongingness, such as by giving stock to our employees and considering the health and childcare needs of employees.
