Donation of Walking Frames form a Good Heart
Addis Ababa Pediatrics Rehabilitation Center recently received a generous donation of four walking frames from Yohannes Awoke, a PhD candidate at the Australian Catholic University. Yohannes has been working closely with the center for nearly three months, providing occupational therapy training to the rehabilitation staff.
During his stay, he observed the significant challenges faced by children with cerebral palsy (CP) in accessing appropriate mobility aids. In response, he donated four lightweight, child-friendly walking frames designed specifically for children with CP.
One of the recipients, a young boy named Israel, was thrilled to receive his walking frame. He eagerly examined the parts with excitement and curiosity. Both Israel and his mother expressed their happiness and hope that the new walking aid will greatly enhance his mobility and independence.
The donation is a meaningful contribution that will support the rehabilitation center’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities.
