The Thok Nath Research Institute is excited to introduce Naath AI, a new initiative focused on preserving, documenting, and advancing the Nuer (Naath) language in the digital age.

Today, many technologies such as Google Translate and ChatGPT rely on large language datasets to support translation, learning, and communication. Unfortunately, the Nuer language remains a low-resource language online, meaning there is still very limited digital data available for modern AI systems.

Through Naath AI, the institute aims to begin building a digital collection of Nuer language resources that can support future tools such as:
• Nuer dictionaries and lexicons
• Nuer–English translation systems
• Language learning tools
• Digital archives for research and education

To make this possible, we invite members of the Nuer community, scholars, and supporters to contribute and collaborate with us.

You can support this project by:
• Sharing Nuer books, dictionaries, stories, or PDFs
• Contributing Nuer–English texts or translations
• Collaborating on language documentation or research
• Supporting the initiative through partnerships or sponsorship
