LAST DAY!!

For the past 7 days, we have been doing a social media campaign to create awareness and change and we want to say thank you to everyone who posted, reposted, shared. Thank you for coming together on this important issue. on this last day, we ask you to post your take and reflection on the campaign or in general on the issue of sexual and gender-based violence!!!

We know that this is a small step in what seems to be a long process for change, we hope everyone gets involved and joins in this fight to make a difference.

#ያሳስበን - መጨረሻ ቀን

አንድ እውነተኛ የታሪክ እናጋራችሁ፦

ስትወለድ ጀምሮ ለመራመድ የማትችለው ወጣት

በዚህ የጤና እክል የተነሳ እናቷ እስካሁን በሸክም ነው ያሳደጓት። አባቷም ጥሏቸው የሄደው በዚሁ ምክንያት ነው። እናት ኑሮዋን ማሸነፍ ባለመቻሏ እንዲረዳት በማሰብ ሁለተኛ ትዳር መሥርታለች። እየተጋገዙ ልጅቷን አሳደጓት።

ከእለታት በአንዱ ቀን ወጣቷ ልጃቸው በተደጋጋሚ የሆድ ህመም ያስቸግራትና ከእናቷ ጋር ወደ ጤና ተቋም ይመጣሉ። በምርመራው ልጅቱ እርጉዝ መሆኗ ይታወቅና እናት ስለጉዳዩ ማወቅ ስለነበረባቸው ይነገራቸዋል። እናት ለያዥ ለገራዥ በሚያስቸግር ልብ የሚሰብር ሁኔታ አለቀሱ። ልጅቱም ቅስም በሚሰብር ሐዘን ውስጥ ሆና አለቀሰች።

ነገሩ እንዲህ ነው፤ ባልየው (የልጅቷ የእንጀራ አባት) አዘውትረው ሲጠጡ ያመሻሉ። እናት ሰክረው የሚመጡትን ባላቸውን መጠበቅ እየሰለቹ በጊዜ መተኛት ጀመሩ። ሰክረው የመጡት ባል ልጅት ጋር አዘውትረው በመሄድ በተደጋጋሚ ይደፍሯታል። ይህንን ጉድ እናት አያውቁም ነበር።

ትንሽ ሲረጋጉ እናትየው ከሆስፒታል ወደቤት መሄድ አለብን ብለው ይዘዋት ሄዱ። በውላችን መሠረት ጠዋት ተመልሰው ይዘዋት መጡ። ከትናንቱ በተለየ የመረጋጋት ስሜት ይታይባቸዋል። "ወደ ህግ አንሄድም፤ ልጁንም እኛው እናሳድገዋለን" አሉን።

ሁኔታውን በደምብ እንደተረዱት ለማረጋገጥ የህክምና ባለሙያዎቹ አስረገዷቸው። በተለይ ይህች ወጣት ደኅንነቱ የተጠበቀ ቤት ውስጥ መኖር አለባት በማለት።

ምክንያት ተጠየቁ፦
እድሜዬ ገፍቷል፤ ከዚህ ቤት ከወጣን ከአሁን በኋላ ተሯሩጬ ላበላት እና ላኖራት አልችልም። እኔም አንድ ነገር ብሆን የሚያግዛት ልጅ ይኖራታል። ብሞት እንኳን አጥንቴም ያርፋል።

በየቤቱ ስንት በቁስል አለ?

እንዲህ አይነት ታሪክ ተነጥሎ ብቻ የተቀመጠን ድርጊትን የሚገልፅ አይደለም, ይህን የመሳሰሉ ጥቃቶች እና ወንጀሎች በጨረፍታ የሚገልፅ እንጅ፡፡ወሲባዊ እና ፆታን መሰረት ያደረገ ጥቃት በሀገራችን ውስጥ ባለው ዘርፈ ብዙ የሆነ ማህበራዊ እና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ቀውስ ውጤት ነው፡፡ ይህንን ለመታገል እያንዳንዱን ግለሰብ እና ማህበረሰብ ተሳትፎ ይጠይቃል፡፡

ፍትህ እና ማህበራዊ ዋስትና ለወሲባዊ እና ፆታን መሰረት ያደረገ ጥቃት ተጋላጭ የሆኑ ወገኖቻችን ይሻሉ።

የወሲባዊ እና ፆታዊ ጥቃት ለደረሰባቸው ሰዎች የሚያስልጋቸው ድጋፍ

የወሲባዊ እና ፆታዊ ጥቃት ጉዳት በማናቸውም ፆታ እንዲሁም እድሜ ቢደርስም ጉዳቱ አካላዊ ብቻ ሆኖ አይቀርም፡፡ጥቃቱ የደረሰባቸው ሰዎች የመፍራት፣ የመሸማቀቅ፣ አስፈሪ ቅዠቶች፣ እንዲሁም ድርጊቱን የሚያስታውሱ ምስሎች በህሊናቸው እየተመላለሱ እረፍት ሊነሷቸው ይችላሉ፡፡ በተጨማሪም ከጉዳቱ ጋር የተያያዘ እና በሗላ ለሚከሰት ጭንቀት፣ አለመረጋጋት እና ከፍተኛ የሆነ ድባቴ ሊያጋልጥታቸው ይችላል፡፡

እነዚህ ችግሮች ጥቃት ለደረሰባቸው ሰዎች የሚሰሟቸው ስሜቶች እና የተለመዱ መሆናቸውን በመገንዘብ ፍቅርና አክብሮት በተሞላበት ሁኔታ ሁሉን አቀፍ እና የተቀናጀ የህክምና እርዳታ እንዲሁም የህግ አገልግሎት እንዲያገኙ ማድረግ ከጉዳታቸው እንዲያገግሙ ለመርዳት ያስችላል፡፡

እንደ ግለሰብ እና ማህበሰብ ጥቃት የደረሰባቸውን ሰዎች ለመደገፍ ምን እናድርግ?

ከጎናቸው በመቆም በምንም አይነት መልኩ የጥፋተኝነት ስሜት እንዳይሰማቸው መጣር፣ እነሱ ባደረጉት ወይም ባላደጉት ነገር ተመርኩዞ የመጣ ድርጊት ሳይሆን ጥቃቱን የፈፀመው አካል ሙሉ ለሙሉ ሀላፊነቱን መውሰድ እንዳለበት ማስረዳት፣ ታሪካቸውን እንደምንሰማ እና እንደምናምናቸው ማሳወቅ እና በተደጋጋሚ መግለፅ ያስፈልጋል፡፡

ጥቃቱ የደረሰባቸው ሰዎች በራሳቸው ጊዜ ችግራቸውን እንዲናገሩ መፍቀድ እና ካለ ፍላጎታቸው ታሪካቸውን እንዲያጋሩ ጫና አለማድረግ፣ ማውራት ሲፈልጉ ብቻ አብሮነትን ማሳየት ይጠበቅብናል፡፡ ተገቢውን የህክምና እርዳታ እንዲሁም የህግ ድጋፍ እንዲያገኙ በማበረታታት እና በማመቻቸት እንዲያገግሙ መርዳት እና ውጤታማ ህይወት እንዲኖራቸው መጣር ከሁሉም ግለሰብ እና ማህበረሰብ የሚጠበቅ ሀላፊነት የተሞላበት ተግባር ነው፡፡

Day 6

SUPPORT SYSTEM

Regardless of age or gender, the impact of sexual violence goes far beyond any physical injuries. The trauma of being r***d or sexually assaulted can be shattering, leaving you feeling scared, ashamed, and alone or plagued by nightmares, flashbacks, and other unpleasant memories. And on top of that, they may struggle with PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

It’s important to remember that what survivours experiencing is a normal reaction to trauma. Providing comprehensive health care and medico-legal services for sexual and domestic violence survivors is paramount. In addition to this compassionate care and psychological support is key for recovery.

How to support and help someone recover as a society or as an individual

Let the survivors know that you still love them and reassure them that the assault was not their fault. Nothing they did or didn’t do could make them culpable in any way. Let them know we hear their stories, we believe their stories and we want help.

Allow survivors to open up at their own pace. Some survivors of sexual assault find it very difficult to talk about what happened, others may need to talk about the assault over and over again. let them know that you’re there to listen whenever they want to talk.

Encourage survivor to seek help, facilitate their path to get help including medical and legal aids but don’t pressurize. provide good support system, and proper medical care so that they recover and have a successful life ahead.

*ብመርመርቲ ወይ ብፖላይስ ዝቐርቡ ምስቲ ኽሲ ዘይራኸቡ፡ ግዳያት ንምሽቑራር ዝዝረቡ ቑጥዐ ዝተመልኦም ሕቶታትን ርኢቶታትን

*ፆታዊ ዓመፅን ፆታዊ ጥቕዓታትን መሰረት ዝገበሩ ክስታት እንትቐርቡ፡ ናይቲ ገበን ክብደት ኣብ ግምት ዘይምእታው ከምኡ እውን ክግበር ዝግብኦ ቕልጣፈ ዘለዎ ከይዲ ምርመራ ዘይምህላው

"እኹል መረዳእታ ንምቕራብ ምፅጋም።
እዚኣቶም ኣብ ኣባላት ፖሊስ ዝረኣዩ ጉድለታት እንትኾኑ

ብወገን ዓቀብቲ ሕጊ ዝርኣዩ ጉድለታት ድማ፡

*ነቲ ጉዳይ ዕሽሽ ብምባል ብቕልጡፍ ናብ ቤት ፍርዲ ንክቐርብን ፍርዲ ንክወሃቦን ዝግበር ፃዕሪ ትሑት ምዃን

*እቲ ጉዳይ ናብ ቤት ፍርዲ ድሕሪ ምቕራቡ ዝህሉ በዝሒ ቖፀሮ

*ዝወሃብ ቕፅዓት ንእሽተይ ምዃንን ብስሩ ብዘይ ቕፅዓት ምስዳድን።
እዚኣቶም ኣብ መዳይ ሕጊ፡ ፆታዊ ዓመፅን ፆታዊ ጥቕዓታትን ንምቕናስ ኣብ ዝግበር ፃዕሪ ዝርአዩ ጉድለታት እዬም።

ኣብ ትካላት ጥዕና ዝርአዩ ጉድለታት፡

*ኣብ ሃገርና ንግዳያት ፆታዊ ዓመፅን ፆታዊ ጥቕዓትን ግልጋሎት ንክህባ ብፍሉይ ዝተዳለዋ ትካላት ጥዕና ውሑዳት ኣብ ልዕሊ ምዃነን፡ እቲ ግልጋሎት ዝጠልቦ ዝተፈላለየ ሞያ ዘለዎም ሰባት ምውሓድ

* እኹል ናይ ሕክምና ናውቲ ዘይምህላው፣ ኣብቲ ዘርፊ እኹል ፍልጠትን ክእለትን ዘለዎም ሓኻይም ምውሓድን ዝኣመሰሉን፡፡

*ንግዳያት ጥቕዓት ዘንገላትዕ ቕልጡፍ ዘይኾነ ኣሰራርሓ ምህላው። እዚኣቶም ኣብቲ ናይ ጥዕና ስርዓት ዝርአዩ ጉድለታት እዬም። እዚ ድማ ነዚ ጉዳይ እኹል ጠመተ ከምዘይተውሃቦ የርእየና።

Day 5

Gaps on the judiciary system

Repeated and longer adjournments for investigation as well as integration about private and personal life of the survivors that are unnecessary for the cases by the police officers are considered as the major gaps envisaged during police investigations. In addition, lack of effective strategy to collect and produce evidences by the police officers and public prosecutors, prosecutor's ignorance to prosecute the perpetrators based on appropriate provisions of the criminal code are also the main problems within the justice system. Court's failure to punish the perpetrators or punish them with a lesser degree of punishments even when sufficient evidences are presented to them are the major gaps Regarding accessibility of justice.

Gaps in the health care system

In our country, health institutions designed to give care and medical services to survivors of gender based violence and sexual abuse are very few. Beyond that, lack of professionals that have been trained to deal with these problems, medical instruments and a well integrated system that effectively handles cases with the required sensitivity is an indicator that this issue has not been given enough attention by our health care system.
