🌍 November 14 is World Diabetes Day

Diabetes is one of the fastest-growing health challenges of our time.
📊 589 million adults (1 in 9) were living with diabetes in 2024 – and this number is projected to reach 853 million by 2050. Alarmingly, 43% of people with diabetes remain undiagnosed highlighting the urgent need to strengthen early detection efforts.

Glycated haemoglobin ( ) test helps to monitor long-term blood glucose control in diabetic patients, and it also supports the identification of people at risk of developing diabetes. Regular check-ups of average blood sugar levels are crucial to detect prediabetes or diabetes early.

We support better diabetes care through our point-of-care HbA1c testing, and want to highlight the importance of early detection and effective management.

We are excited to share that Tarja Hirvensalo has joined Aidian as our new Chief Technology Officer, effective August 18, 2025. Tarja will lead our R&D organization and strategy, driving continuous development and operational improvement.

With over two decades of leadership experience in diagnostics and life sciences, Tarja brings a strong background in global R&D, program management, and delivering innovative solutions in regulated environments. Her previous roles have equipped her with deep expertise in managing complex, strategic development programs and leading cross-functional teams.

We are looking forward to seeing how Tarja's passion for science, strategic mindset, and natural ability to bring people together will inspire new achievements at Aidian.
