It’s Low Ojas + Slow Agni Season

In deep Nordic winter, when there’s no sunlight, the body naturally becomes heavier, slower, and more sensitive.

Ayurveda explains that winter illness comes from:

High stress → Vata imbalance
More sugar → Ama buildup
Cold, damp air → Kapha congestion
Low natural warmth → Slow Agni

Ayurvedic ways to stay balanced:
‱ warm, cooked, spiced foods
‱ ginger–cinnamon or tulsi tea
‱ oil massage to ground Vata
‱ avoid cold, heavy, sugary foods
‱ early, warm dinners
‱ gentle breathing + rest

Have you ever wondered why stress hits women harder?

🧠 Serotonin – our feel-good chemical – keeps mood steady and calm.
But women naturally have lower serotonin levels than men.
When stress strikes, serotonin dips faster
 leading to mood swings and emotional lows.

Estrogen boosts serotonin’s power — it helps us stay balanced and positive.
But during PMS, postpartum, or perimenopause, estrogen drops
 and serotonin loses its sparkle. 💧

🌙 Progesterone is our natural calming hormone.
It supports GABA — the brain’s “relax and sleep” signal.
Chronic stress drains progesterone, making us anxious, restless, and tired.

So the cycle goes like this —
Stress → lowers progesterone → anxiety rises
Estrogen drops → serotonin falls → mood dips

Low serotonin → amplifies stress response
