Thanks to the team around Dr. med. Arne Burssens and Prof. Dr. med. Hintermann Beat, one now understands the interaction between the and supramalleolar osteotomies in greater detail thanks to novel imaging and measurement techniques.

In Finland, Midsummer takes place during the second last weekend of June and is a public holiday, which means we get to enjoy a three-day-weekend! 😊

Celebrations of the summer solstice are usually spent with friends and family away from the city. For many, it is also the beginning of their summer holidays. ✈️

There is a new study in press! Congratulations to Yurii Chepurnyi and his team at the Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv, Ukraine!

The results of the study "Clinical application of automated virtual orbital reconstruction for orbital fracture
management with patient-specific implants: a prospective comparative study" show that automatic orbital segmentation allows users to perform virtual orbital reconstruction more easily and 70% faster than seen in traditional approaches and demonstrate that PSI, based on automated virtual reconstruction, can be
recommended as a treatment option for orbital fractures, due to the comparable clinical efficacy
with PSI based on a ‘slice-by-slice’ CAD protocol.

*Digital Wellbeing Sprint 2022*

The Digital Wellbeing Sprint is an intensive course where university students from multiple areas work together with health and wellbeing companies to develop user-friendly digital solutions.

This year, Disior™ had the chance to take part in the sprint and the team is delighted with the results that the students presented today! The students created a more intuitive interface for our software Bonelogic™. As we are constantly working on how to make the software better, we can't wait to implement those and many more ideas to our software.

Thank you to the organizer, tutors and students of the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Laurea University of Applied Sciences and Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences who took part in the project!
