Yin is the passive, feminine, and receptive principle in Chinese philosophy, representing darkness, rest, and the shaded side of a hill. It complements Yang (the active, light force) to create balance, acting as a fundamental, interconnected energy in nature, health, and cosmic cycles.

Yin Yoga: A practice that involves holding poses for several minutes to target deep connective tissues rather than muscles.

В искусстве мы видим женщин постоянно: они предстают на старых полотнах, мы видим их статуи в музеях. Есть лица, которые каждый назовет по имени: вот Даная, вот Венера в окружении морской пены, вот Мона Лиза. Но кто эти женщины, чьи лица узнаются спустя много столетий, почему мы не знаем из имен? А скольких художниц мы не помним, заслонив их имена псевдонимами и именами мужей! Многие думают, что профессиональные художницы смогли реализовываться только приходом 20-ого века. На самом деле еще в эпоху Возрождения жили и работали женщины, которым удалось пробиться на вершину мира искусства. Они дружили с Микеланджело и Галилеем, выполняли сложнейшие заказы для семейства Медичи, содержали мастерские. И такие примеры мы можем найти в любую эпоху. Давайте соберёмся 8 марта, совершим путешествие по истории искусства и поговорим о женщинах, без которых всё было бы совсем иначе!
