10 years of Sisu. 🇫🇮🇬🇧

This March marks a decade since I traded the UK for Finland. If I'm honest, those first few years were a massive shock to the system. No friends, zero clue about the culture, and working late nights behind a bar just to get by.
There were definitely days when I wondered why I am here.

But bit by bit, I got used to the culture and I started to find my feet. I built a home, started a family, and eventually launched Ryan Armour Training.

Looking back, those low days were part of the build. Today, I've coached hundreds of sessions (many of them in freezing temperatures 🥶), met incredible people, and built a life I'm genuinely proud of.

Finland isn't just where I live anymore; it's home. Here's to the next 10 years of growth, hard work, and probably a few more warm layers. Who knows what's next?

I hope you remember to take the unfiltered photos. 📸

The ones without the added enhanced looks. The ones without the blurred and smoothed skin effects. I hope you choose to take photos without a second thought, instead of looking for the perfect edit, or asking chat to make it better. I hope you choose to let people see the real you. The ones where your eyes are crinkled because you’re laughing so hard. The ones where your imperfect teeth are on full display because you simply can’t contain your joy. The ones with wrinkles showing the proof that you’ve lived. The ones where your freckles, scars, and sun spots are showing because you’re comfortable just being you.

I hope you stop apologising for not dressing up or wearing makeup. I hope you remember to take the unfiltered photos not only for yourself, but for your children, your grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the future generations that won’t get the privilege of meeting you.

They deserve to see you as you truly are.. not the version society pushes you to be.

Your natural face is the one worth remembering

Small Group PT starting January – 3 spots

Starting a new small-group PT block in Sture/Vallila from January. Three people max. Proper coaching, structured sessions, and a clear plan to get you stronger over eight weeks.

We’ll use everything in the studio: barbell, kettlebells, dumbbells, SkiErg, TRX, plyo space, and the sessions will mix strength, power, conditioning and mobility.

What we’ll do:

•Strength work with clear progressions
•Power training
•Conditioning that supports strength
•Mobility and movement prep
•Simple tracking so you know you’re improving week to week
