Our quality services cover external quality assessments, audits and certifications, and training. Currently, we serve customers in over 60 countries. Our team comprises 70 skilled professionals, and our offices are in Finland and Poland.

Who do you speak to when you contact Labquality? Introducing our Customer Service & Sales team! 💬

The team includes six laboratory and service professionals. The latest additions are Kaisa and Sarita, who are accompanied by a more experienced colleague, Elisa, who’s been helping Labquality’s customers for 15 years.

Customer Service Manager Minna oversees the whole team and ensures everyone has what they need to deliver the service.

The rest of the team, Juha and Jukka, are responsible for Labquality’s sales development. You can often find them at our booths at international congresses and fairs, meeting customers and national partners in person. 🤝

Introducing our teams: The IT & LabScala team!

This team is primarily responsible for maintaining and developing the order and results processing platform LabScala. 💡

They are also responsible for the direct integrations of the laboratories' information systems with LabScala and providing support with background registry matters. 💻

The team consists of seven people: EQA Solutions Manager Kristel, EQA Coordinators Teija, Marsa, Mira, Iida, Tanja and Riitta.

Our Research and Development team uses its innovative energy to develop better, more versatile quality assessment tools and new EQA schemes. 💡

In collaboration with our large network of laboratory medicine professionals, the team also regularly presents scientific posters and co-writes scientific publications showcasing their projects. 📑

There are six people in the team: EQA Solutions Manager Heidi, EQA Coordinators Pia, Kati, Päivi, Anu, and Kati.

We have launched this year's EQA pilot schemes! 🔬 The arranged pilots will be free of charge for a limited number of participants.

The pilot schemes are:

🔹Candida auris, nucleic acid detection
🔹Cryptosporidium/Giardia/ Entamoeba, antigen detection
🔹HCV RNA, capillary blood, point-of-care test (POCT)
🔹Preanalytics, extended specimen collection
🔹Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) for somatic tumours

Registration for the pilots is open until 15 March 2026.

Additionally, we are planning to organise an EQA pilot study for Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers. In order to determine the level of interest for this program, we would appreciate your participation in our online survey.

Have you ever wondered how we get the samples for our EQA schemes? Introducing our EQA Sample Procurement team!

The successful acquisition of reliable, homogenous, and stable samples is the cornerstone of high-quality EQA service. 💡

This team takes care of the complex entity of sample procurement for over 200 different EQA schemes, which contain nearly 1,000 individual EQA rounds each year.

The team also sources samples for new EQA pilot projects and actively searches for new and better sample formats and contents for our existing EQA products.

There are five people in the team: EQA Coordinators Outi, Jaana and Yvonne, procurement manager Piritta and team leader, EQA Solutions Manager Elina.

Futurist and author Perttu Pölönen closed this year’s congress with a visionary keynote on navigating the landscape of the future.

His thought-provoking talk challenged us to rethink how we approach the future, the opportunities it offers and what kind of meaning we find in fast-developing new technologies like AI.

Thank you, Perttu, and thank you to everyone who joined the 50th Labquality Days congress! This was definitely a congress to remember!

This year’s ePoster exhibition broke records with the number of scientific posters on display!

Visitors also had a chance to meet the poster authors at a Meet & Greet session.

🏅 The Best Poster Award, given by the Congress Scientific Committee, went to Fiona Cox and the INSTAND team for their study on glucose point-of-care testing materials.

🎖️Visitors voted Artur Gabrysiak's (Grupa American Heart of Poland) poster "Should Quality Control Be Performed for Calculated LDL-C?" as their favourite.

Congratulations to Fiona, Artur and their colleagues!

The Raimo Tenhunen Award was granted to Päivi Laitinen, Clinical Chemist, Adjunct Professor, and Chair of the Labquality Days Scientific Committee. 🏆

The award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of laboratory medicine.

Her lifetime of contributions to clinical chemistry, patient care and international cooperation in laboratory medicine has left a lasting impact both in Finland and across Europe.

Congratulations Päivi, and thank you for your outstanding work for quality in laboratory medicine!

The second day of Labquality Days 2026 is well underway! ❄️

Today's Quality in Laboratory Medicine session is focused on direct-to-consumer testing (DTCT).

DTCT refers to in vitro testing initiated and paid for by the consumer - either at home or via self-collected samples sent to a lab. 💡

Matthias Orth opened the day with an insightful talk on the potential and pitfalls of this growing trend.

Integrated EQA service

Integrated EQA service is a completely new approach to external quality assessment. New programs integrate pre- and post-analytical EQA schemes to traditional analytical EQA providing a full support for ISO15189 standard requirements.

Labquality´s clinically relevant external quality assessment service programme includes more than 170 EQA schemes, covering the key specialities of laboratory medicine. Furthermore, the programme includes a wide range of products intended for point-of-care test sites. Currently more than 5500 laboratories and POCT sites all over the world use Labquality´s external quality assessment programs.
