On February 4th we are raising awareness of cancer. The World Cancer Day theme 2025-2027, “United by Unique,” places people at the centre of care and their stories at the heart of the conversation.

Yesterday, we had the great pleasure of welcoming President of the Republic of Finland, Alexander Stubb.

During the visit, President had the possibility to hear of FinVector’s story and see our new groundbreaking gene therapy facility in the thriving science and technology district of Savilahti, , Finland.

Our Managing Director, Matthias Krieger, lead Mr President through the factory, where the President gained a deeper understanding of our capabilities and production facility — a place where Science gives Hope.

He had the opportunity to meet employees from various departments, allowing him to hear firsthand about our employees’ everyday work and the meaningful impact it has.

We are deeply grateful to President Stubb for honouring us with his visit and engaging with our people.

At FinVector, our FunCommittee regularly organizes various activities to brighten up everyday life for our staff. This week, those interested had the chance to try archery under the guidance of the club 🏹

Today, we’re celebrating Halloween at the office, and employees can take part in a costume contest and enjoy a little treat. 🎃

New Alumni Story published! 🥳

– Haluan yksinkertaisesti kehittää osaamistani, jotta voin tehdä työni entistäkin paremmin. Lisäksi opiskelu tuo minulle itselleni uudenlaista pääomaa.

Iso Leivo haki opiskelemaan Savonialle teknologiajohtamisen asiantuntijan YAMK-tutkintoa.🏆🔥

Myös hänen aiempi amk-tutkintonsa on Savonialta. Leivo valmistui kone- ja tuotantotekniikan insinööriksi vuonna 2008.😍

Opiskeluajoilta päällimmäisenä mieleen on jäänyt kurssitovereiden kanssa koettu yhteisöllisyys sekä ulkomailla suoritettu harjoittelu.🌍

– Vietin neljä kuukautta Unkarin Budapestissä ja reissasin paljon myös muualle Eurooppaan. Ulkomaille lähteminen oli todella hyvä juttu, koska vastaavaa tilaisuutta ei enää opintojen jälkeen tule vastaan, Leivo kertoo.

The British Ambassador to Finland, Laura Davies, visited Kuopio with her delegation on Monday, October 6.

The discussions focused on topics important to Finland, the United Kingdom, and Kuopio, including comprehensive security, wellbeing expertise, and trade opportunities. Our Managing Director, Matthias, took part in the meeting alongside other key regional representatives!

Ison-Britannian Suomen suurlähettiläs vieraili Kuopiossa.

Ison-Britannian Suomen suurlähettiläs Laura Davies vieraili delegaationsa kanssa Kuopiossa maanantaina 6.10. Teemoiksi keskusteluissa nousivat Suomen, Iso-Britannian ja Kuopion kannalta tärkeät aiheet, kuten kokonaisturvallisuus, hyvinvointiosaaminen ja kaupankäyntimahdollisuudet.

”Kuopio on täynnä uskoa alueeseen ja omaan tekemiseen”, suurlähettiläs Davies kommentoi tunnelmia tapaamisen lopuksi.
