Vuonna 2010 japanilainen Itaru Sasaki rakensi puhelinkopin voidakseen soittaa kuolleelle serkulleen. Hän käsitteli suruaan luovalla tavalla. Lasiseinäinen puhelinkoppi sai nimekseen kaze no denwa, tuulen puhelin.
Japania koetelleiden luonnonkatastrofien jälkeen sana alkoi levitä ja Sasaki päätti antaa muidenkin käyttää puhelinta. Puhelinta ei ole kytketty mihinkään. Sureva henkilö näppäilee kuolleen numeron ja voi esim kertoa miten elämä nyt sujuu. Puhelin sijaitsee Otsuchissa, jonne pääsee junalla Tokiosta.

Upea ajatus, tuulen puhelin. Tänään olisin soittanut isälle. Tänään on mennyt 15v hänen kuolemastaan ja se on kuin pieni hetki. Toki käyn keskustelua päivittäin läheisteni kanssa, m***a jos täällä olisi tuulen puhelin, käyttäisin. 🥰✨️🌬

Mennet tapahtumat eivät määritä sitä, kuka olet, vaan sen mitä tänään teet sille kaikelle. Päästä irti ja valitse uusi tie. Vaikka et tietäisi minne se johtaa ja miten sinne pääsee, luota. Universumi tuntee tien.
