Yes! I EAT ALL THE THINGS OVER THE HOLIDAYS! Just because I am a health nut doesn’t mean I don’t love food! I eat very healthy the majority of the time and YES I also indulge during the holidays and eat gluten and sugar and drink a bit of wine. The difference is for me (and hopefully for all my clients that I have coached) is that my body tells ok this is enough. And guess what?! Feeling better over tasting rich food became the absolute necessity for my body. When you eat a diet composed of mainly vegetables, fruits, organic meats and gluten free grains you absolutely will notice the difference when you over consume gluten (man cannot live off bread alone!) and sugar. The bloat comes, fingers swell, joints ache, sleep suffers and you are moody. There are over 30 studies documenting the effects of gluten on just your mood alone! Sugar affects almost every system in a negative way (hello your immune system!). So yes, I love the holidays and shocker I eat all the things! BUT it’s always a reminder why I love my healthy lifestyle, love my work teaching others about health and love taking recipes and always putting healthy spins on them!! Who is ready for a new year healthy reset?! 😂🙋🏻♀️
