🏵Unlike narcissism, self-centeredness, or ego, self-love involves having a healthy relationship with yourself and embracing your full self, including your strengths and weaknesses, triumphs and challenges, successes and mistakes.

✴Self-love involves a healthy and stable self-concept that is based on your own ideas, observations, and values rather than on others’ opinions and judgments.

👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨Self-love can also lead to improved relationships. The idea that a person should practice self-love before attempting to pursue the love of others is one that is accepted by many, and research has shown that practicing self-love and self-compassion is likely to improve well-being in the context of interpersonal relationships.

😁People who have self-compassion and practice self-love generally report feeling happier and more authentic in their relationships.

☯Often we label our experience as “bad” if we hate it. And “good” if we like it. But the bad cannot exist without the good, and vice versa.

⁉️What do you feel ?

Emotional awareness is essentially being able to identify the emotions you're experiencing at any given time. To manage your emotions effectively, you first need to be as sure as possible of what you're feeling.

Emotional awareness is the ability to recognize your emotions, understand what they're telling you.

🧠Emotions serve a purpose: they are your brain's way of telling you something good or bad is happening in your life.

Many times clients were not able to articulate their feelings right in the confines of therapy.
This wheel was born out of the necessity to help clients describe their mental state better, and to enable them to share as much as they possibly could about their emotional state.

🔝Plutchik’s wheel of emotions helps bring clarity to emotions, which can sometimes feel mysterious and overwhelming. To improve your understanding of emotions, Plutchik’s wheel of emotions is a great place to start.

💛Basic emotions are the primary ones: trust, fear, surprise, sadness, disgust, anger, anticipation and joy.

🧡Like many things in nature, there is a duality with emotions, each one has its polar opposite:
– saddens is the opposite of joy
– trust is the opposite of disgust
– fear is the opposite of anger
– surprise is the opposite of anticipation

💛The adding up of these various primary emotions will produce new ones such as:
love = joy+ trust,
guilt = joy + fear,
delight = joy + surprise.

What do you say to yourself when you make a mistake?

Do you tend to believe other people’s views of you rather than trusting your belief in yourself?

Can you think of life experiences that have shaped your beliefs and thoughts? (Parents, teachers, friends?)

Do you believe you can influence the way you think?

How do you feel about trying new things; i.e. stepping out of your comfort zone?

💣What Does It Mean to Be 'Triggered'?

In psychology, a “trigger” is a stimulus that causes a painful memory to resurface. A trigger can be any sensory reminder of the unpleasant event: a sound, sight, smell, physical sensation, color ,or even a time of day .

⚡️When triggered, the brain might interpret past traumatic events as current.

A trigger can cause an emotional reaction before a person realizes why they have become upset.

A person’s unexpected reaction to being triggered may come as a surprise to others because the response seems out of proportion.

🪆This is because the triggered person is mentally RELIVING the original trauma .

The important thing to realise is that when you get ghosted - it actually says nothing about you, and everything about them, but it is also a huge opportunity to also look into the way you have been built, and what you need to work on moving forward.

Do you set your intentions based on fear or love?

Clarity is power !

Setting intentions begins the process of creation. Intentions are seeds planted in your subconscious mind that, with patience and aligned action, allow your heartfelt dreams to manifest .

Being clear on you intentions ensures that both you soul and mind are in agreement with what you are calling into you experience, and that they won’t fight against each other in the process.

There are many blocks ,limiting beliefs, to manifesting intention like :

➡️unworthiness,
➡️anger
➡️fear
➡️disappointment
➡️hopelessness & helplessness
➡️righteous pride

Attachment is based on fear and insecurity, while detachment is based on the undoubtable belief in the power of your true Self.
