This page has been neglected but as of today…. I can confirm I am still going - DM me 💆‍♀️

Throwback picture from my Training Manager days 🤓.

If you need a reminder…

This is a skill that is kept up my sleeve. With a past time of working 9 years in the luxury spa industry and 16 years in total of massaging. I like to combine this experience with experience I have gained through doing sports and all the treatments that come along with that. My style enables you to relax but gets in to all those niggly bits at the same time..
Offering massages and other treatments if requested. I am also a holistic therapist trained in things such as Ayurveda, Reflexology, Reiki, etc… This is a side hustle I do as I love doing it but like to keep it more like a hobby than a full time job nowadays. DM if interested.

Hello people,

It has been a while since I have posted anything; I have been navigating myself through the madness of COVID, being safe and indulging in each day as they come by making the most of every moment.

BUT the reason for this post is to hopefully start consolidating all my life adventures, thoughts, experiences and knowledge to share with you all. I would like to ask you what you like most from what I share and what would you like to see more of in what I share? (if you can remember because it has been a while).

Thanks, L x

Anyone fancy a massage 😋? Hehehe.

What an emotional rollercoaster the past two months have been but also what a magical time it was too. Are you taking anything away from it?

A kind reminder to stay safe, sensible, respectful, be kind and enjoy free movement people 💖.

Peace out, Lx

We are very close to having our mountains back....

I hope my posts have helped / inspired you during lockdown. But now it's time to slowly integrate back in to the real world which means less social media time - I will pop in every now and again to post.

If anyone has questions or would like to book any treatments let me know 🙂. Always happy to help!

Stay positive and stay strong people X

ONE MORE WEEK....

We have one more week until we have a little more freedom and life can return to the new class of normal.

We can't individually change things but we can continue to support each other, stay positive, be understanding and considerate.

I am deflated, I am craving normal life, my thoughts feel all over the place. How do we do this? What it is right, what is wrong?

It is okay to feel like this.

Take a step back and let yourself just be. Sometime we just need to stop and do nothing. I have done that all weekend, hence the lack of posts. I had to let go, binge watch pointless but good TV, sleep, not endlessly browsing on my phone, connect with people I can deeply connect with, be in the moment and have no purpose or plans. After 3 days of this I feel some what normal and ready to take on the world again.

When was the last time you took a step back and didn't feel guilty about it?

We are moving in to another phase which is unknown to us, no one has the answers. It is now our time to stay sane, calm, understanding, supportive and considerate. We are not going to wake up one day and it will all be gone. So do what you have to do to keep yourself level headed 💖.

Just smile and wave boys, just smile and wave 👌

Following on from yesterday...

Massage can't fix everything. Therapists will all agree with me here we are not miracle workers. We will not fix everything in one session, yes we will make it better but not fully fix it. You need persistence and consistency.

Other things you can do help your problems ie. muscle aches and pains, stiffness, headaches, lower back ache etc... ;

- Yoga
- Stretching
- Warms baths with Epsom Salts
- Foam Rolling
- Trigger point work
- Strengthening exercises to ease pressure off areas which are tight
- Taking magnesium supplements

If you are an athlete/person who exercises then all of the above should be taking in to consideration on a regular basis if not daily.
If you sit in front of the computer all day, taking breaks in your day to walk around and stretch is vital (some days I would have a standing desk instead of a sitting one).
If you stand all day you should be elevating your feet when you get home.
Stretching daily is vital for EVERYONE.

Massage is key and should be done a regular basis (1-2 times a month, once a week for people doing alot of training or daily if you are a pro athlete 😋). The effects of it can be enhanced and prolonged with your personal self care at home.

Here are some quick samples of yoga and chair stretches you can slot in to your every day life. Foam rollers should be an essential item in your household too 💖.

Peace out, Lx

Massage's do not fix everything!

It's a struggle at the moment but a lot of us don't tap in to our emotions or try to deal with them. We just go around with all this negativity.

Negativity leads to increased blood pressure, anxiety, tears which all lead to stress on the body. Which in fact stays in the body and builds up tension. Leading to stiffness, aches, pains and exhaustion. As well as being harsh on the people we love.

Take a step back, reflect, feel your emotions and let them flow like a wave. Try some of the tips below or some I have previously posted.

Massage's are great for helping with easing of the tension held in the body and grounding your mind again which makes me happy to help people. But this effect only lasts for so long - you also have to do the work 💖.

My favourite point here; do something that makes you happy every day 🙃.

COFFEE makes me happy especially Moody's!

On a down day or a "I feel exhausted" kind of day or a "I fancy something nice in my life today" it always brings me happiness heading to this coffee shop. It's the small things in life.

I have thought many times to quit but I love it. Coffee is good for ;
- Providing anti-oxidants
- Improving energy levels
- Helping to burn fat
- Improving physical performance
- Contains essential nutrients
- Potentially lowering Type 2 Diabetes
- Potentially preventing dementia
- MAKING YOU HAPPY

They say 3-4 cups is safe and the maximum you should be having a day. I suggest to have your consumption done by at least 3pm to ensure you can get a good quality of sleep. If your not a coffee drinker but do drink tea you also need to be careful as many teas do have caffeine in them too.

Coffee can also be used for many other things such as....
- Espresso Martini cocktails 😋
- Coffee cakes
- Body exfoliation
- Face Masks

Indulge in the coffee and find yourself an awesome barista to make the experience even better every now and again.

I go from loving my low end black coffee of Nescafe red mug to high end Moody Roasters coffee at home and then to change it up for a barista milk based coffee I go to the BEST barista - Ian (if you live in France they now deliver ground coffee/beans to your home). I have travelled far and his coffee is the bee's knees!

What is your favourite coffee?

MEN this one is for you...

I always find it challenging to recommend for men. They act manly and don't tend to take advice as easily (sorry but true). However, over the years we have seen an increase in spa use by men making it infact a 50/50 percentage. So we know you also need to look after yourself.

Below are some tips on how you can do that yourself regularly. I have also noticed more men are turning to meditation. Men usually like spending time alone and love to zone out of the world so it appears meditation really works for them. YouTube is full of fantastic free ones you can use and there are plenty of apps you can download on your phone too.

If any men can enlighten me on any other ways you have to keep yourself, happy and motivated on a daily basis - please do enlighten me 🤗.

Just over here looking for a bath 👀!!!!!

One of my old favourite things to do to de-stress / detox and ultimately feel better within 20-40 minutes was take a BATH (I no longer have one in my new apartment)

I also classed the ocean in Dubai as one. HOT full of minerals, easy access and no effort required from my side (I now no longer have this either).

So can someone please take one of the remedies below and go for a bath for me 😊👌.

Epsom Salt Bath ; Great for giving your skin back some magnesium and sulfuf. Helps to relax muscle and joint aches. Reduces inflammation and flushes out toxins. An all round winner in my eyes.

Detox Baths ;
- Ginger, turn up the heat and flush out all the nasties - you feel on fire after this one but instantly feel the difference (maybe I used too much ginger hahaha but it was so good).
- Baking Soda, you can use by itself as a toxin flusher or turn it up a notch and add it to the ginger bath above.
- Apple Cider Vinger, you can drink it first thing in the morning, you can also cook with it but you can also bath in it. It's great for flushing out toxins and promoting alkalinity.

Ice bath ; One for you workouts fanatics post an intense session. It has been known to speed up the recovery of muscles by reducing temperature, inflammation and the blood flow to the muscle (personally I like a warm bath and massage to deal with my aches 🙈🤣).

Relaxing bath ; Grab your favourite essential oils and put some drops in your bath. Lavender, chamomile and ylang ylang are great choices to drift away with.

Preferably I like natural choices of products hence why I haven't recommended any bubble baths which are full of chemicals. If you do love a bubble bath but want to keep it natural personally I love NEOMs- check them out.

Hope you find the above useful. Take care of yourself, it's Sunday after all 💖.

Reflecting and looking for feedback...

Does anyone have any comments or suggestions? I have purely been posting to send some positive vibes and tips during lockdown - not for or on anything specific.

- Is there in-depth info you would like to learn?
- Anything else you would like to hear about?
- What have you liked?
- What did you not like?
- Would you like to book a massage after all of this? 🤣

I don't know what I am doing with this page, yes it was to make people aware I am offering;

- Relaxing / Sports Massage
- Reflexology
- Facials (using own products)
- Indian Head Massge

But I do it on the side to my day job, genuinely enjoy doing treatments and at the moment I am enjoying sharing some tips during lockdown.

Let me know your thoughts 💖

get that FRIDAY FEELING 💖

So it's Friday, who is feeling heavy from the week and can't be bothered? I hear ya!!

Challenge today... start your day by putting some oil or hair mask in your hair - let that sink in as you go through the day as normal. On your lunch break, get yourself outside for some Vitamin D (essential for our immunity and wellbeing). Give yourself permission to turn off your computer screen a little earlier than normal to get in a bath and scrub all the negative energy away ;

- Turn on some feel good music
- Light the candles
- Relax in the bath
- Go back to my post about a head massage
- Read my post about exfoliation
- Do the above two
- And finish by washing the hair mask out

Get yourself out, dry yourself off, moisturise the skin, spray some of your favourite perfume, put some make up on and get a little glammed up for your Friday Evening. YES you should still make an effort in lockdown - it's makes a massive difference to your overall wellbeing. Giving ourselves some TLC, really boosts our happiness hormones. You have a right to feel happy and feel good!

Gentlemen?, get your creative juices flowing to de-stress from the week and cook your girl a nice dinner, make a nice setting at home or set up the cocktail bar and have a fun night in. When your girl feels good, you feel good too right?

FRIDAY night's don't have to be boring or time for you to mope about the week. Shake it all off and enjoy the night 💖.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! L x
