Iron isn’t optional. It helps improve energy, crucial for the immune system, cognitive functions and cell division.
Dr Reena Soniassy, Nutritionist & Dietitian, explains why it's even more important for babys:
"Around 6 months, baby’s iron stores begin to run low. So first foods should nourish, not just practice. Think iron-rich options: meat, lentils, fortified cereals."
And veggies? Don’t give up after a “no.” It can take 10 - 15 exposures before they accept it.
Keep offering gently and consistently.
