Justine from Belgium: "Best way to connect to your baby and prep for birth, both mentally and physically. This is my second baby and the retreat gave me the space and time to connect to my baby boy, something that felt much harder at home with a toddler.
The food was to die for, the yoga relaxing and the sessions really informative. The rooms were so nice and comfortable, and really recommend the massage too!"

Relaxation is one of the most important skills you can practice during pregnancy.

Not only does it help your body and mind recover from the physical and emotional changes of this time, it also plays a powerful role in labor and birth.

Between contractions, the ability to consciously relax can make a real difference. When the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles soften, it creates more space for your baby to move down. When those muscles are tense, it can make the experience more intense and uncomfortable. Relaxation supports a smoother, more supported birth—for both you and your baby.

This is why we always take time for deep rest at the end of our practice. Not as an extra, but as an essential part of the preparation.

Diaphragmatic breathing is one of the very first exercises you can start — as early as 1 day after birth — and it all begins with your breath.

When you inhale, your diaphragm moves down and your pelvic floor gently lengthens and relaxes. When you exhale, the air flows out of your belly and chest, your diaphragm lifts, and your pelvic floor naturally lifts with it.

This natural movement helps tone and support your pelvic floor without forcing anything.

It’s a beautiful exercise during pregnancy, essential in postpartum recovery, and beneficial for your pelvic health for the rest of your life.

Note: Always check with your healthcare provider to make sure it’s safe for you to begin.

And remember — you don’t need to add extra force. The lift happens automatically when you fully and gently exhale, fantastic isn't it? 🤗
