How to Get Things Done...

How often do you have the desire to do something, but that desire just lingers every day?

I want to learn to play the piano...
I want to sell my wooden plaques online...
I want to make more time to play with my children...

My answer to this is to have a daily action plan. I start each day by listing three things I want to achieve in the day, and just one of those will be toward my 'I want,' for example,
'I want to learn to play the piano.'

Day 1. Action: Post on a local community Facebook group for a recommendation for a piano teacher.
Day 2. Check posts and identify 3 teachers to contact.
Day 3. Send a message to each contact.
Day 4. Check messages and talk with contacts.
Day 5. Arrange a meet-up time with the teacher.
Day 6. Book the first lesson.

As you can see, by just taking a few minutes per day towards the one 'I want,' it becomes an 'I have' or 'I am,' as in, I am now taking piano lessons. Simple small steps can change a longer-term 'I want' into reality."
