Zen Sailors join the local CrossFit Community 🤪

Since our boat works were gonna take longer than expected, we had to settle in to life on land for a few months. So guess what- we signed up for the local CrossFit Classes 5 days a week 🤯

For a decade, my CrossFit crazy friends have been trying to convince me to join them. I managed to resist 😎 Being in a sweaty indoor studio with loud Metallica music playing and dudes pumping iron is not my thing!! I prefer outdoor activities in nature - like hiking , swimming, running , kiting and outdoor yoga!

Also I believe that this high intensity workout is not what I need - don’t want to fuel that pitta 🔥 in me🥴
And Seb - well he just doesn’t even consider this kind of activity 😂

I was totally surprised when he floated the idea of joining the classes - his reason - the locals there seem cool! I had to say yes. And it turned out to be the best decision ever. For the community!

From the first day on , people were so kind and welcoming to us. And since then we look forward to the classes to meet our new friends. Muscles 💪🏾 are just a great consequence… (I’m still not a fan of those high intensity drills!)

Nov- Dec we were supposed to be sailing ⛵️ to the marquesas islands and here we are building muscles in Raiatea! It’s joyful to see that the present moment is bringing us new friends and experiences even though it was totally not planned. This is life and it’s awesome 😊

200 km cycling 🚴‍♀️ to discover Japanese countryside

How the hell did we get here in the middle of our sailing season??? 🤪

Our boat needs repairs.
Repair works will start only mid November.
The sister is performing in Awaji, Japan.
Some inspiring people we met over the years introduced us to the idea of travelling with cycles (you know who you are 😉)
Et voila !

So here we are - cycling for a week around Awaji Island - its coastal roads, onion and rice fields, its cute cafes and hidden shrines.

Freedom and Gratitude 🙏

Even though our butts were sore by the end of it - it could be the next best thing to sailing.

Sad 😔 day on Wallis as we said goodbye to our friend

It’s been amazing to share our sailing, kiting, swimming and hiking adventures with a friend. Happiness truly doubles when shared.

It’s crazy how so many things needed to happen for us to become friends and spend these moments together.

There is a saying in French “Il a fallu que tant de hasards se produisent pour que nous devenions amis.”

“So many things had to occur for us to become friends.”

In the end nothing happens just by chance! This was always meant to be.

Thanks for visiting dear friend. We are lucky to have you as a friend. After so much time together on a lil boat our friendship has reached another level 😀 We will see you again soon - Wallis is waiting

⭐️⭐️⭐️ LIFE UPDATE !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The moment has arrived 😬 In exactly two weeks, Seb & I start our new life on our lil sailboat Wallis ⛵️
As with every move, it’s a mix of emotions- excitement, nerves and also sadness to leave our friends, family and beautiful home in Nice (and all the luxuries of modern life!!).

We have both had several “one-way ticket” moments in our lives. But this time it’s different.. it’s a one way ticket to life on the OCEAN!

Last so many years have been a journey of dreaming, planning, working hard and transitioning! We didn’t know WHAT we were transitioning into but we knew WHY!

The most important lesson I learned is that ➡️
To start a new story, one has to LET GO of the old one..

It’s not easy to let go of your old story, even if a new one is something beyond your dreams! Why??

☀️ Because, it means letting go of your old identity, all the validation and ego that came with it!

☀️ Because, it means being OK with the ambiguity of the transition phase. Society doesn’t like ambiguity 😂 or anything “different” , so people quickly want to put you into new boxes and new identities in order to make sense of your life.
That’s ok - just ignore em🤪

☀️ Because, starting a new story means taking ownership of your life! You made the choice, now you gotta go through the ups and downs that come your way. No one else to blame 😬

So as scary as it is .. it is FREEDOM!

I am beyond grateful to the universe and god for this opportunity. I hope this new story will bring us closer to our true selves and nature and we will be able to resist getting stuck into new identities and egos 🤪

Please Pray that the weather gods are kind to us and that the OCEAN welcomes us 🙏☺️ we will keep you guys posted on the ups and downs of this new story!!

Resurrecting after a 10 day silent meditation retreat..

It might sound crazy or like torture to some people (I get you!) 😂 but it was a transformative experience for me. I felt like I lived a lifetime in just 10 days!

The total detachment from sensory stimulation, people, devices and all other “action” was so unique and the only way to truly face yourself away from all the identities and layers.

10+ hours of meditation everyday with very little food is intense, painful and not easy! Of course there were times I asked myself “what the hell am i doing here!” Apart from the Vipassana meditation technique itself, there have been so many learnings from this experience.. some little positive changes I already see in day to day life and hopefully big changes will be evident with time 🙏
